ΑΡΙΘΜΟΙ ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τῇ Σινά, ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, ἐν μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου, ἔτους δευτέρου ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου λέγων· 2 λάβετε ἀρχὴν πάσης συναγωγῆς ᾿Ισραὴλ κατὰ συγγενείας, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατ' ἀριθμὸν ἐξ ὀνόματος αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν. 3 πᾶς ἄρσην ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν δυνάμει ᾿Ισραήλ, ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτοὺς σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, σὺ καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς. 4 καὶ μεθ' ὑμῶν ἔσονται ἕκαστος κατὰ φυλὴν ἑκάστου ἀρχόντων, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν ἔσονται.
5 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν, οἵτινες παραστήσονται μεθ' ὑμῶν· τῶν Ρουβήν, ᾿Ελισοὺρ υἱὸς Σεδιούρ· 6 τῶν Συμεών, Σαλαμιὴλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαί· 7 τῶν ᾿Ιούδα, Ναασσὼν υἱὸς ᾿Αμιναδάβ· 8 τῶν ᾿Ισσάχαρ, Ναθαναὴλ υἱὸς Σωγάρ· 9 τῶν Ζαβουλών, ᾿Ελιὰβ υἱὸς Χαιλών· 10 τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ιωσήφ, τῶν ᾿Εφραίμ, ᾿Ελισαμὰ υἱὸς ᾿Εμιούδ, τῶν Μανασσῆ, Γαμαλιὴλ υἱὸς Φαδασούρ· 11 τῶν Βενιαμίν, ᾿Αβιδὰν υἱὸς Γαδεωνί· 12 τῶν Δάν, ᾿Αχιέζερ υἱὸς ᾿Αμισαδαΐ· 13 τῶν ᾿Ασήρ, Φαγαϊὴλ υἱὸς ᾿Εχράν· 14 τῶν Γάδ, ᾿Ελισὰφ υἱὸς Ραγουήλ· 15 τῶν Νεφθαλί, ᾿Αχιρὲ υἱὸς Αἰνάν. 16 οὗτοι ἐπίκλητοι τῆς συναγωγῆς, ἄρχοντες τῶν φυλῶν κατὰ πατριὰς αὐτῶν, χιλίαρχοι ᾿Ισραήλ εἰσι. 17 καὶ ἔλαβε Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν τοὺς ἄνδρας τούτους τοὺς ἀνακληθέντας ἐξ ὀνόματος 18 καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν συναγωγὴν συνήγαγον ἐν μιιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου ἔτους καὶ ἐπηξονοῦσαν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν, κατὰ πατριὰς αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν,
19 ὃν τρόπον συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ· καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τοῦ Σινά. 20 Καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβὴν πρωτοτόκου ᾿Ισραὴλ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει, 21 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ρουβὴν ἓξ καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. 22 τοῖς υἱοῖς Συμεὼν κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
23 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Συμεὼν ἐννέα καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τριακόσιοι. 24 τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ιούδα κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
25 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς ᾿Ιούδα τέσσαρες καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι. 26 τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισσάχαρ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
27 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς ᾿Ισσάχαρ τέσσαρες καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 28 τοῖς υἱοῖς Ζαβουλὼν κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατ' ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
29 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ζαβουλὼν ἑπτὰ καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 30 τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ιωσὴφ υἱοῖς ᾿Εφραὶμ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει, 31 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς ᾿Εφραὶμ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. 32 τοῖς υἱοῖς Μανασσῆ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
33 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Μανασσῆ δύο καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι. 34 τοῖς υἱοῖς Βενιαμὶν κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
35 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Βενιαμὶν πέντε καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 36 τοῖς υἱοῖς Γὰδ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
37 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Γὰδ πέντε καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα. 38 τοῖς υἱοῖς Δὰν κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
39 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Δὰν δύο καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι. 40 τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ασὴρ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
41 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς ᾿Ασὴρ μία καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. 42 τοῖς υἱοῖς Νεφθαλὶ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν, κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
43 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Νεφθαλὶ τρεῖς καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 44 αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις, ἣν ἐπεσκέψαντο Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ᾿Ισραήλ, δώδεκα ἄνδρες· ἀνὴρ εἷς κατὰ φυλὴν μίαν, κατὰ φυλὴν οἴκων πατριᾶς ἦσαν. 45 καὶ ἐγένετο πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος παρατάξασθαι ἐν ᾿Ισραήλ,
46 ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι καὶ πεντακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα. 47 Οἱ δὲ Λευῖται ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς πατριᾶς αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπεσκέπησαν ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραήλ. 48 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 49 ὅρα, τὴν φυλὴν Λευὶ οὐ συνεπισκέψῃ, καὶ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν οὐ λήψῃ ἐν μέσῳ υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ.
50 καὶ σὺ ἐπίστησον τοὺς Λευίτας ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ· αὐτοὶ ἀροῦσι τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς, καὶ αὐτοὶ λειτουργήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς παρεμβαλοῦσι. 51 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν σκηνήν, καθελοῦσιν αὐτὴν οἱ Λευῖται, καὶ ἐν τῷ παρεμβάλλειν τὴν σκηνήν, ἀναστήσουσι· καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ προσπορευόμενος ἀποθανέτω. 52 καὶ παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ, ἀνὴρ ἐν τῇ ἑαυτοῦ τάξει καὶ ἀνὴρ κατὰ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἡγεμονίαν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν. 53 οἱ δὲ Λευῖται παρεμβαλλέτωσαν ἐναντίοι κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἁμάρτημα ἐν υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραήλ· καὶ φυλάξουσιν οἱ Λευῖται αὐτοὶ τὴν φυλακὴν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 54 καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ κατὰ πάντα, ἃ ἐνετείλατο Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ ᾿Αραρών, οὕτως ἐποίησαν.
ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν λέγων· 2 ἄνθρωπος ἐχόμενος αὐτοῦ κατὰ τάγμα, κατὰ σημαίας, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, παρεμβαλλέτωσαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ· ἐναντίοι κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ. 3 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες πρῶτοι κατὰ ἀνατολάς, τάγμα παρεμβολῆς ᾿Ιούδα σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ιούδα, Ναασσὼν υἱὸς ᾿Αμιναδάβ· 4 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τέσσαρες καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι. 5 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς ᾿Ισσάχαρ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισσάχαρ, Ναθαναὴλ υἱὸς Σωγάρ· 6 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, τέσσαρες καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 7 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Ζαβουλών, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ζαβουλών, ῾Ελιὰβ υἱὸς Χαιλών· 8 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, ἑπτὰ καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 9 πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς ᾿Ιούδα ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακισχίλιοι καὶ τετρακόσιοι, σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν πρῶτοι ἐξαιροῦσι. 10 τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Ρουβὴν πρὸς λίβα δύναμις αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ρουβήν, ῾Ελισοὺρ υἱὸς Σεδιούρ· 11 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, ἓξ καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. 12 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλῆς Συμεών, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Συμεών, Σαλαμιὴλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαί· 13 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, ἐννέα καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τριακόσιοι. 14 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλῆς Γάδ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Γάδ, ῾Ελισὰφ υἱὸς Ραγουήλ· 15 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, πέντε καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα. 16 πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς Ρουβήν, ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα μία χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα, σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν δεύτεροι ἐξαροῦσι. 17 καὶ ἀρθήσεται ἡ σκηνὴ τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἡ παρεμβολὴ τῶν Λευιτῶν μέσον τῶν παρεμβολῶν· ὡς καὶ παρεμβαλοῦσιν, οὕτω καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν ἕκαστος ἐχόμενος καθ' ἡγεμονίας.
18 Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς ᾿Εφραὶμ παρὰ θάλασσαν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Εφραίμ, ᾿Ελισαμὰ υἱὸς ᾿Εμιούδ·
19 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. 20 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Μανασσῆ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Μανασσῆ, Γαμαλιὴλ υἱὸς Φαδασσούρ· 21 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, δύο καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι. 22 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Βενιαμίν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμίν, ᾿Αβιδὰν υἱὸς Γαδεωνί· 23 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, πέντε καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 24 πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς ᾿Εφραίμ, ἑκατὸν χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακισχίλιοι καὶ ἑκατόν, σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν τρίτοι ἐξαροῦσι. 25 Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Δὰν πρὸς βορρᾶν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Δάν, ᾿Αχιέζερ υἱὸς ᾿Αμισαδαί· 26 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, δύο καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι. 27 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλὴ ᾿Ασήρ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ασήρ, Φαγεὴλ υἱὸς ᾿Εχράν· 28 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, μία καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. 29 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Νεφθαλί, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Νεφθαλί, ᾿Αχιρὲ υἱὸς Αἰνάν· 30 δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, τρεῖς καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι. 31 πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς Δὰν ἑκατὸν καὶ πεντηκονταεπτὰ χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι· ἔσχατοι ἐξαροῦσι κατὰ τάγμα αὐτῶν. 32 αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν· πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις τῶν παρεμβολῶν σὺν ταῖς δυνάμεσιν αὐτῶν, ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι πεντακόσιοι πεντήκοντα. 33 οἱ δὲ Λευῖται οὐ συνεπεσκέπησαν ἐν αὐτοῖς, καθὰ ἐνετείλατο Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ. 34 καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ πάντα, ὅσα συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ·οὕτω παρενέβαλον κατὰ τάγμα αὐτῶν καὶ οὕτως ἐξῇρον, ἕκαστος ἐχόμενοι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.
ΚΑΙ αὗται αἱ γενέσεις ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ Μωυσῆ, ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐλάλησε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ ἐν ὄρει Σινά.
2 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ααρών· πρωτότοκος Ναδάβ, καὶ ᾿Αβιούδ, ᾿Ελεάζαρ, καὶ ᾿Ιθάμαρ. 3 ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ααρών, οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ ἠλειμμένοι, οὓς ἐτελείωσαν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἱερατεύειν. 4 καὶ ἐτελεύτησε Ναδὰβ καὶ ᾿Αβιοὺδ ἔναντι Κυρίου, προσφερόντων αὐτῶν πῦρ ἀλλότριον ἔναντι Κυρίου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινά, καὶ παιδία οὐκ ἦν αὐτοῖς· καὶ ἱεράτευσεν ᾿Ελεάζαρ καὶ ᾿Ιθάμαρ μετὰ ᾿Ααρὼν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν. 5 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 6 λάβε τὴν φυλὴν Λευὶ καὶ στήσεις αὐτοὺς ἐναντίον ᾿Ααρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ λειτουργήσουσιν αὐτῷ, 7 καὶ φυλάξουσι τὰς φυλακὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ ἔναντι τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς. 8 καὶ φυλάξουσι πάντα τὰ σκεύη τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς. 9 καὶ δώσεις τοὺς Λευίτας ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ τοῖς ἱερεῦσι· δεδομένοι δόμα οὗτοί μοί εἰσιν ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ. 10 καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ καταστήσεις ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ φυλάξουσι τὴν ἱερατείαν αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ κατὰ τὸν βωμὸν καὶ ἔσω τοῦ καταπετάσματος· καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ ἁπτόμενος ἀποθανεῖται. 11 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 12 καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ εἴληφα τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ μέσου τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ ἀντὶ παντὸς πρωτοτόκου διανοίγοντος μήτραν παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ· λύτρα αὐτῶν ἔσονται καὶ ἔσονται ἐμοὶ οἱ Λευῖται· 13 ἐμοὶ γὰρ πᾶν πρωτότοκον· ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐπάταξα πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου, ἡγίασα ἐμοὶ πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν ᾿Ισραὴλ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους· ἐμοὶ ἔσονται, ἐγὼ Κύριος. 14 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινὰ λέγων· 15 ἐπίσκεψαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Λευὶ κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν· πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς. 16 καὶ ἐπεσκέψαντο αὐτοὺς Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν αὐτοῖς Κύριος. 17 καὶ ἦσαν οὗτοι οἱ υἱοὶ Λευὶ ἐξ ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν· Γεδσών, Καάθ, καὶ Μεραρί. 18 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Γερσὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν· Λοβενὶ καὶ Σεμεΐ. 19 καὶ υἱοὶ Καὰθ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν· ᾿Αμρὰμ καὶ ᾿Ισσαάρ, Χεβρὼν καὶ ᾿Οζιήλ. 20 καὶ υἱοὶ Μεραρὶ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν· Μοολὶ καὶ Μουσί. οὗτοί εἰσι δῆμοι τῶν Λευιτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν. 21 τῷ Γερσὼν δῆμος τοῦ Λοβενὶ καὶ δῆμος τοῦ Σεμεΐ· οὗτοι οἱ δῆμοι τοῦ Γεδσών. 22 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν παντὸς ἀρσενικοῦ ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω, ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἑπτακισχίλιοι καὶ πεντακόσιοι. 23 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γερσὼν ὀπίσω τῆς σκηνῆς παρεμβαλοῦσι παρὰ θάλασσαν, 24 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων οἴκου πατριᾶς τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Γεδσών, ῾Ελισὰφ υἱὸς Δαήλ. 25 καὶ ἡ φυλακὴ υἱῶν Γεδσὼν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου· ἡ σκηνὴ καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα, καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου 26 καὶ τὰ ἱστία τῆς αὐλῆς καὶ τὸ καταπέτασμα τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς τῆς οὔσης ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τὰ κατάλοιπα πάντων τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ. 27 τῷ Καὰθ δῆμος ὁ ᾿Αμρὰν εἷς, καὶ δῆμος ὁ ᾿Ισαὰρ εἷς, καὶ δῆμος ὁ Χεβρὼν εἷς, καὶ δῆμος ὁ ᾿Οζιὴλ εἷς· οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ δῆμοι τοῦ Καάθ, κατὰ ἀριθμόν.
28 πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω, ὀκτακισχίλιοι καὶ ἐξακόσιοι φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν ἁγίων. 29 οἱ δῆμοι τῶν υἱῶν Καὰθ παρεμβαλοῦσιν ἐκ πλαγίων τῆς σκηνῆς κατὰ λίβα, 30 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων οἴκου πατριῶν τῶν δήμων τοῦ Καὰθ ῾Ελισαφάν, υἱὸς ᾿Οζιήλ. 31 καὶ ἡ φυλακὴ αὐτῶν, ἡ κιβωτὸς καὶ ἡ τράπεζα καὶ ἡ λυχνία καὶ τὰ θυσιαστήρια καὶ τὰ σκεύη τοῦ ἁγίου, ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν. 32 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων ἐπὶ τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν Λευιτῶν, ᾿Ελεάζαρ ὁ υἱὸς ᾿Ααρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως, καθεσταμένος φυλάσσειν τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν ἁγίων. 33 τῷ Μεραρὶ δῆμος ὁ Μοολὶ καὶ δῆμος ὁ Μουσί· οὗτοί εἰσι δῆμοι τοῦ Μεραρί. 34 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμόν, πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω, ἑξακισχίλιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα· 35 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων οἴκου πατριῶν τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Μεραρί, Σουριὴλ υἱὸς ᾿Αβιχαίλ· ἐκ πλαγίων τῆς σκηνῆς παρεμβαλοῦσι πρὸς βορρᾶν. 36 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις τῆς φυλακῆς υἱῶν Μεραρί, τὰς κεφαλίδας τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοὺς μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς καὶ τοὺς στύλους αὐτῆς, καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν 37 καὶ τοὺς στύλους τῆς αὐλῆς κύκλῳ καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους καὶ τοὺς κάλους αὐτῶν. 38 οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἀπὸ ἀνατολῆς, Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τοῦ ἁγίου εἰς τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ· καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ ἁπτόμενος ἀποθανεῖται. 39 πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις τῶν Λευιτῶν, οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω, δύο καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες. 40 Καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· ἐπίσκεψαι πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἄρσεν τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω καὶ λάβε τὸν ἀριθμὸν ἐξ ὀνόματος· 41 καὶ λήψῃ τοὺς Λευίτας ἐμοί, ἐγὼ Κύριος, ἀντὶ πάντων τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ τὰ κτήνη τῶν Λευιτῶν ἀντὶ πάντων τῶν πρωτοτόκων ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσι τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ. 42 καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς, ὃν τρόπον ἐνετείλατο Κύριος πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραήλ· 43 καὶ ἐγένοντο πάντα τὰ πρωτότοκα τὰ ἀρσενικὰ κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ἐξ ὀνόματος ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω ἐκ τῆς ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν δύο καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες καὶ τρεῖς καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι. 44 Καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 45 λάβε τοὺς Λευίτας ἀντὶ πάντων τῶν πρωτοτόκων υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ τὰ κτήνη τῶν Λευιτῶν ἀντὶ τῶν κτηνῶν αὐτῶν, καὶ ἔσονται ἐμοὶ οἱ Λευῖται· ἐγὼ Κύριος. 46 καὶ τὰ λύτρα τριῶν καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα καὶ διακοσίων, οἱ πλεονάζοντες παρὰ τοὺς Λευίτας ἀπὸ τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ, 47 καὶ λήψῃ πέντε σίκλους κατὰ κεφαλήν, κατὰ τὸ δίδραχμον τὸ ἅγιον λήψῃ, εἴκοσιν ὀβολοὺς τοῦ σίκλου, 48 καὶ δώσεις τὸ ἀργύριον ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ, λύτρα τῶν πλεοναζόντων ἐν αὐτοῖς.
49 καὶ ἔλαβε Μωυσῆς τὸ ἀργύριον τὰ λύτρα τῶν πλεοναζόντων εἰς τὴν ἐκλύτρωσιν τῶν Λευιτῶν, 50 παρὰ τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ ἔλαβε τὸ ἀργύριον, χιλίους τριακοσίους ἑξηκονταπέντε σίκλους, κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον. 51 καὶ ἔδωκε Μωυσῆς τὰ λύτρα τῶν πλεοναζόντων ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ, διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν λέγων· 2 λάβε τὸ κεφάλαιον τῶν υἱῶν Καὰθ ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν Λευί, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, 3 ἀπὸ εἴκοσι καὶ πέντε ἐτῶν καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντήκοντα ἐτῶν, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν ποιῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 4 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ἔργα τῶν υἱῶν Καὰθ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου· ἅγιον τῶν ἁγίων. 5 καὶ εἰσελεύσεται ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ, ὅταν ἐξαίρῃ ἡ παρεμβολή, καὶ καθελοῦσι τὸ καταπέτασμα τὸ συσκιάζον καὶ κατακαλύψουσιν ἐν αὐτῷ τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, 6 καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ κατακάλυμμα δέρμα ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον ὅλον ὑακίνθινον ἄνωθεν καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς. 7 καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν τράπεζαν τὴν προκειμένην ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον ὁλοπόρφυρον καὶ τὰ τρυβλία καὶ τὰς θυΐσκας καὶ τοὺς κυάθους καὶ τὰ σπονδεῖα, ἐν οἷς σπένδει, καὶ οἱ ἄρτοι οἱ διαπαντὸς ἐπ' αὐτῆς ἔσονται. 8 καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὴν ἱμάτιον κόκκινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὴν καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι δι' αὐτῆς τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς. 9 καὶ λήψονται ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσι τὴν λυχνίαν τὴν φωτίζουσαν καὶ τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς λαβίδας αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς ἐπαρυστρίδας αὐτῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ ἀγγεῖα τοῦ ἐλαίου, οἷς λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς, 10 καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν αὐτὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς εἰς κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν αὐτὴν ἐπ' ἀναφορέων. 11 καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χρυσοῦν ἐπικαλύψουσιν ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὸ καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς αὐτοῦ. 12 καὶ λήψονται πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ λειτουργικά, ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν τοῖς ἁγίοις, καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν εἰς ἱμάτιον ὑακίνθινον καὶ καλύψουσιν αὐτὰ καλύμματι δερματίνῳ ὑακινθίνῳ καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπὶ ἀναφορεῖς. 13 καὶ τὸν καλυπτῆρα ἐπιθήσει ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἐπικαλύψουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ ἱμάτιον ὁλοπόρφυρον. 14 καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ πάντα τὰ σκεύη, ὅσοις λειτουργοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτῷ ἐν αὐτοῖς, καὶ τὰ πυρεῖα καὶ τὰς κρεάγρας καὶ τὰς φιάλας καὶ τὸν καλυπτῆρα καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου· καὶ ἐπιβαλοῦσιν ἐπ' αὐτὸ κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον, καὶ διεμβαλοῦσι τοὺς ἀναφορεῖς αὐτοῦ· καὶ λήψονται ἱμάτιον πορφυροῦν καὶ συγκαλύψουσι τὸν λουτῆρα καὶ τὴν βάσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν αὐτὰ εἰς κάλυμμα δερμάτινον ὑακίνθινον καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν ἐπὶ ἀναφορεῖς. 15 καὶ συντελέσουσιν ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καλύπτοντες τὰ ἅγια καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ ἅγια ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν παρεμβολήν, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσονται υἱοὶ Καὰθ αἴρειν καὶ οὐχ ἅψονται τῶν ἁγίων, ἵνα μὴ ἀποθάνωσι· ταῦτα ἀροῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Καὰθ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 16 ἐπίσκοπος ᾿Ελεάζαρ υἱὸς ᾿Ααρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως· τὸ ἔλαιον τοῦ φωτὸς καὶ τὸ θυμίαμα τῆς συνθέσεως καὶ ἡ θυσία ἡ καθ' ἡμέραν καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον τῆς χρίσεως, ἡ ἐπισκοπὴ ὅλης τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ, ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις.
17 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν λέγων· 18 μὴ ὀλοθρεύσητε τῆς φυλῆς τὸν δῆμον τὸν Καὰθ ἐκ μέσου τῶν Λευιτῶν· 19 τοῦτο ποιήσατε αὐτοῖς καὶ ζήσονται καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποθάνωσι, προσπορευομένων αὐτῶν πρὸς τὰ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων· ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ προσπορευέσθωσαν καὶ καταστήσουσιν αὐτοὺς ἕκαστον κατὰ τὴν ἀναφορὰν αὐτοῦ, 20 καὶ οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθωσιν ἰδεῖν ἐξάπινα τὰ ἅγια καὶ ἀποθανοῦνται. 21 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 22 λάβε τὴν ἀρχὴν τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσών, καὶ τούτους κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν,
23 ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς ἐπίσκεψαι αὐτούς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 24 αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Γεδσών, λειτουργεῖν καὶ αἴρειν· 25 καὶ ἀρεῖ τὰς δέρρεις τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα τὸ ὑακίνθινον τὸ ὂν ἐπ' αὐτῆς ἄνωθεν καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου 26 καὶ τὰ ἱστία τῆς αὐλῆς, ὅσα ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ τὰ περισσὰ καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ λειτουργικά, ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς, ποιήσουσι. 27 κατὰ στόμα ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ ἔσται ἡ λειτουργία τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσὼν κατὰ πάσας τὰς λειτουργίας αὐτῶν καὶ κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐπισκέψῃ αὐτοὺς ἐξ ὀνόματος πάντα τὰ ἀρτὰ ὑπ' αὐτῶν. 28 αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσὼν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ ἡ φυλακὴ αὐτῶν ἐν χειρὶ ᾿Ιθάμαρ τοῦ υἱοῦ ᾿Ααρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως. 29 οἱ υἱοὶ Μεραρὶ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς,
30 ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 31 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ φυλάγματα τῶν αἰρομένων ὑπ' αὐτῶν κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου· τὰς κεφαλίδας τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοὺς μοχλοὺς καὶ τοὺς στύλους αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῆς, καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα καὶ αἱ βάσεις αὐτῶν, καὶ οἱ στύλοι αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς 32 καὶ τοὺς στύλους τῆς αὐλῆς κύκλῳ, καὶ αἱ βάσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς στύλους τοῦ καταπετάσματος τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς, καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῶν, καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς κάλους αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ λειτουργήματα αὐτῶν, ἐξ ὀνομάτων ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτοὺς καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τῆς φυλακῆς τῶν αἰρομένων ὑπ' αὐτῶν. 33 αὕτη ἡ λειτουργία δήμου υἱῶν Μεραρὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐν χειρὶ ᾿Ιθάμαρ τοῦ υἱοῦ ᾿Ααρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως. 34 καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ᾿Ισραὴλ τοὺς υἱοὺς Καὰθ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, 35 ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 36 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν δισχίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι πεντήκοντα. 37 αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου Καάθ, πᾶς ὁ λειτουργῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καθὰ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῇ. 38 καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν υἱοὶ Γεδσὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν,
39 ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν καὶ ποιεῖν τὰ ἔργα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 40 καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, δισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι τριάκοντα. 41 αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου υἱῶν Γεδσών, πᾶς ὁ λειτουργῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ. 42 ἐπεσκέπησαν δὲ καὶ δῆμος υἱῶν Μεραρὶ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν,
43 ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος λειτουργεῖν πρὸς τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου. 44 καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, τρισχίλιοι καὶ διακόσιοι· 45 αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις δήμου υἱῶν Μεραρί, οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου, ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ. 46 πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι, οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες ᾿Ισραὴλ τοὺς Λευίτας, κατὰ δήμους καὶ κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, 47 ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἕως πεντηκονταετοῦς, πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος πρὸς τὸ ἔργον τῶν ἔργων καὶ τὰ ἔργα τὰ αἰρόμενα ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, 48 καὶ ἐγενήθησαν οἱ ἐπισκεπέντες ὀκτακισχίλιοι πεντακόσιοι ὀγδοήκοντα. 49 διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου ἐπεσκέψατο αὐτοὺς ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ, ἄνδρα κατὰ ἄνδρα ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπὶ ὧν αἴρουσιν αὐτοί· καὶ ἐπεσκέπησαν, ὃν τρόπον συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 2 πρόσταξον τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ ἐξαποστειλάτωσαν ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς πάντα λεπρὸν καὶ πάντα γονορρυῆ καὶ πάντα ἀκάθαρτον ἐπὶ ψυχῇ· 3 ἀπὸ ἀρσενικοῦ ἕως θηλυκοῦ ἐξαποστείλατε ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς, καὶ οὐ μὴ μιανοῦσι τὰς παρεμβολὰς αὐτῶν, ἐν οἷς ἐγὼ καταγίνομαι ἐν αὐτοῖς. 4 καὶ ἐποίησαν οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ ἐξαπέστειλαν αὐτοὺς ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς· καθὰ ἐλάλησε Κύριος Μωυσῇ, οὕτως ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ. 5 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 6 λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ λέγων· ἀνὴρ ἢ γυνή, ὅς τις ἂν ποιήσῃ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν τῶν ἀνθρωπίνων, καὶ παριδὼν παρίδῃ καὶ πλημμελήσῃ ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη, 7 ἐξαγορεύσει τὴν ἁμαρτίαν, ἣν ἐποίησε, καὶ ἀποδώσει τὴν πλημμέλειαν τὸ κεφάλαιον καὶ τὸ ἐπίπεμπτον αὐτοῦ προσθήσει ἐπ' αὐτό, καὶ ἀποδώσει, τίνι ἐπλημμέλησεν αὐτῷ.
8 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ὁ ἀγχιστεύων, ὥστε ἀποδοῦναι αὐτῷ τὸ πλημμέλημα πρὸς αὐτόν, τὸ πλημμέλημα τὸ ἀποδιδόμενον Κυρίῳ τῷ ἱερεῖ ἔσται, πλὴν τοῦ κριοῦ τοῦ ἱλασμοῦ, δι' οὗ ἐξιλάσεται ἐν αὐτῷ περὶ αὐτοῦ. 9 καὶ πᾶσα ἀπαρχὴ κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἁγιαζόμενα ἐν υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραήλ, ὅσα ἐὰν προσφέρωσι Κυρίῳ, τῷ ἱερεῖ αὐτῷ ἔσται. 10 καὶ ἑκάστου τὰ ἡγιασμένα αὐτοῦ ἔσται· καὶ ἀνήρ, ὃς ἂν δῷ τῷ ἱερεῖ, αὐτῷ ἔσται.
11 Καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 12 λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς· ἀνδρὸς ἀνδρός, ἐὰν παραβῇ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὑπεριδοῦσα παρίδῃ αὐτὸν 13 καὶ κοιμηθῇ τις μετ' αὐτῆς κοίτην σπέρματος, καὶ λάθῃ ἐξ ὀφθαλμῶν τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ κρύψῃ, αὐτὴ δὲ ᾖ μεμιασμένη καὶ μάρτυς μὴ ἦν μετ' αὐτῆς, καὶ αὐτὴ μὴ ᾖ συνειλημμένη,
14 καὶ ἐπέλθῃ αὐτῷ πνεῦμα ζηλώσεως καὶ ζηλώσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, αὐτὴ δὲ μεμίανται, ἢ ἐπέλθῃ αὐτῷ πνεῦμα ζηλώσεως καὶ ζηλώσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, αὐτὴ δὲ μὴ ᾖ μεμιασμένη,
15 καὶ ἄξει ὁ ἄνθρωπος τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα καὶ προσοίσει τὸ δῶρον περὶ αὐτῆς, τὸ δέκατον τοῦ οἰφὶ ἄλευρον κρίθινον, οὐκ ἐπιχεεῖ ἐπ' αὐτὸ ἔλαιον, οὐδὲ ἐπιθήσει ἐπ' αὐτὸ λίβανον· ἔστι γὰρ θυσία ζηλοτυπίας, θυσία μνημοσύνου, ἀναμιμνήσκουσα ἁμαρτίαν. 16 καὶ προσάξει αὐτὴν ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ στήσει αὐτὴν ἔναντι Κυρίου, 17 καὶ λήψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ὕδωρ καθαρὸν ζῶν ἐν ἀγγείῳ ὀστρακίνῳ καὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς οὔσης ἐπὶ τοῦ ἐδάφους τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ λαβὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐμβαλεῖ εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ. 18 καὶ στήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὴν γυναῖκα ἔναντι Κυρίου καὶ ἀποκαλύψει τὴν κεφαλὴν τῆς γυναικὸς καὶ δώσει ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς τὴν θυσίαν τοῦ μνημοσύνου, τὴν θυσίαν τῆς ζηλοτυπίας, ἐν δὲ τῇ χειρὶ τοῦ ἱερέως ἔσται τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου τούτου. 19 καὶ ὁρκιεῖ αὐτὴν ὁ ἱερεύς, καὶ ἐρεῖ τῇ γυναικί· εἰ μὴ κεκοίμηταί τις μετὰ σοῦ, εἰ μὴ παραβέβηκας μιανθῆναι ὑπὸ τὸν ἄνδρα τὸν σεαυτῆς, ἀθῴα ἴσθι ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου τούτου· 20 εἰ δὲ σὺ παραβέβηκας ὕπανδρος οὖσα, ἢ μεμίανσαι καὶ ἔδωκέ τις τὴν κοίτην αὐτοῦ ἐν σοί, πλὴν τοῦ ἀνδρός σου· 21 καὶ ὁρκιεῖ ὁ ἱερεὺς τὴν γυναῖκα ἐν τοῖς ὅρκοις τῆς ἀρᾶς ταύτης, καὶ ἐρεῖ ὁ ἱερεὺς τῇ γυναικί· δῴη σε Κύριος ἐν ἀρᾷ καὶ ἐνόρκιον ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ λαοῦ σου, ἐν τῷ δοῦναι Κύριον τὸν μηρόν σου διαπεπτωκότα, καὶ τὴν κοιλίαν σου πεπρησμένην, 22 καὶ εἰσελεύσεται τὸ ὕδωρ τὸ ἐπικαταρώμενον τοῦτο εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν σου πρῆσαι γαστέρα καὶ διαπεσεῖν μηρόν σου. καὶ ἐρεῖ ἡ γυνή· γένοιτο, γένοιτο. 23 καὶ γράψει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὰς ἀρὰς ταύτας εἰς βιβλίον, καὶ ἐξαλείψει εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου. 24 καὶ ποτιεῖ τὴν γυναῖκα τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου, καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς αὐτὴν τὸ ὕδωρ τὸ ἐπικαταρώμενον τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ.
25 καὶ λήψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐκ χειρὸς τῆς γυναικὸς τὴν θυσίαν τῆς ζηλοτυπίας καὶ ἐπιθήσει τὴν θυσίαν ἔναντι Κυρίου καὶ προσοίσει αὐτὴν πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον, 26 καὶ δράξεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἀπὸ τῆς θυσίας τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτῆς καὶ ἀνοίσει αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ποτιεῖ τὴν γυναῖκα τὸ ὕδωρ. 27 καὶ ἔσται, ἐὰν ᾖ μεμιασμένη καὶ λήθῃ λάθη τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς, καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς αὐτὴν τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τὸ ἐπικαταρώμενον, καὶ πρησθήσεται τὴν κοιλίαν, καὶ διαπεσεῖται ὁ μηρὸς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἔσται ἡ γυνὴ εἰς ἀρὰν τῷ λαῷ αὐτῆς.
28 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ μιανθῇ ἡ γυνὴ καὶ καθαρὰ ᾖ, καὶ ἀθῴα ἔσται καὶ ἐκσπερματιεῖ σπέρμα.
29 οὗτος ὁ νόμος τῆς ζηλοτυπίας, ᾧ ἂν παραβῇ ἡ γυνὴ ὕπανδρος οὖσα καὶ μιανθῇ· 30 ἢ ἄνθρωπος, ᾧ ἐὰν ἐπέλθῃ ἐπ' αὐτὸν πνεῦμα ζηλώσεως καὶ ζηλώσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, καὶ στήσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ ἔναντι Κυρίου, καὶ ποιήσῃ αὐτῇ ὁ ἱερεὺς πάντα τὸν νόμον τοῦτον· 31 καὶ ἀθῷος ἔσται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἀπὸ ἁμαρτίας, καὶ ἡ γυνὴ ἐκείνη λήψεται τὴν ἁμαρτίαν αὐτῆς.
ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 2 λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς· ἀνὴρ ἢ γυνή, ὃς ἐὰν μεγάλως εὔξηται εὐχὴν ἀφαγνίσασθαι ἁγνείαν Κυρίῳ, 3 ἀπὸ οἴνου καὶ σίκερα ἁγνισθήσεται καὶ ὄξος ἐξ οἴνου καὶ ὄξος ἐκ σίκερα οὐ πίεται καὶ ὅσα κατεργάζεται ἐκ σταφυλῆς οὐ πίεται καὶ σταφυλὴν πρόσφατον καὶ σταφίδα οὐ φάγεται.
4 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ· ἀπὸ πάντων ὅσα γίνεται ἐξ ἀμπέλου, οἶνον ἀπὸ στεμφύλων ἕως γιγάρτου οὐ φάγεται. 5 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τοῦ ἁγνισμοῦ ξυρὸν οὐκ ἐπελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ, ἕως ἂν πληρωθῶσιν αἱ ἡμέραι, ὅσας ηὔξατο Κυρίῳ· ἅγιος ἔσται τρέφων κόμην τρίχα κεφαλῆς. 6 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς Κυρίῳ ἐπὶ πάσῃ ψυχῇ τετελευτηκυίᾳ οὐκ εἰσελεύσεται· 7 ἐπὶ πατρὶ καὶ μητρὶ καὶ ἐπ' ἀδελφῷ καὶ ἐπ' ἀδελφῇ, οὐ μιανθήσεται ἐπ' αὐτοῖς ἀποθανόντων αὐτῶν, ὅτι εὐχὴ Θεοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐπ' αὐτῷ ἐπὶ κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ. 8 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ ἅγιος ἔσται Κυρίῳ. 9 ἐὰν δέ τις ἀποθάνῃ ἐπ' αὐτῷ ἐξάπινα, παραχρῆμα μιανθήσεται ἡ κεφαλὴ εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ξυρήσεται τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ᾗ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ καθαρισθῇ· τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ξυρηθήσεται. 10 καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ὀγδόῃ οἴσει δύο τρυγόνας ἢ δύο νεοσσοὺς περιστερῶν πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα, ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, 11 καὶ ποιήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς μίαν περὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ μίαν εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα, καὶ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ αὐτοῦ ὁ ἱερεὺς περὶ ὧν ἥμαρτε περὶ τῆς ψυχῆς καὶ ἁγιάσει τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ,
12 ᾗ ἡγιάσθη Κυρίῳ, τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς, καὶ προσάξει ἀμνὸν ἐνιαύσιον εἰς πλημμέλειαν, καὶ αἱ ἡμέραι αἱ πρότεραι ἄλογοι ἔσονται, ὅτι ἐμιάνθη ἡ κεφαλὴ εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ.
13 Καὶ οὗτος ὁ νόμος τοῦ εὐξαμένου· ᾗ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ πληρώσῃ ἡμέρας εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ, προσοίσει αὐτὸς παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου
14 καὶ προσάξει τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ Κυρίῳ ἀμνὸν ἐνιαύσιον ἄμωμον ἕνα εἰς ὁλοκαύτωσιν καὶ ἀμνάδα ἐνιαυσίαν μίαν ἄμωμον εἰς ἁμαρτίαν καὶ κριὸν ἕνα ἄμωμον εἰς σωτήριον
15 καὶ κανοῦν ἀζύμων σεμιδάλεως ἄρτους ἀναπεποιημένους ἐν ἐλαίῳ καὶ λάγανα ἄζυμα κεχρισμένα ἐν ἐλαίῳ καὶ θυσίαν αὐτῶν καὶ σπονδὴν αὐτῶν. 16 καὶ προσοίσει ὁ ἱερεὺς ἔναντι Κυρίου καὶ ποιήσει τὸ περὶ ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ ὁλοκαύτωμα αὐτοῦ 17 καὶ τὸν κριὸν ποιήσει θυσίαν σωτηρίου τῷ Κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τῷ κανῷ τῶν ἀζύμων, καὶ ποιήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὴν θυσίαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν σπονδὴν αὐτοῦ.
18 καὶ ξυρήσεται ὁ ηὐγμένος παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου τὴν κεφαλὴν τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιθήσει τὰς τρίχας ἐπὶ τὸ πῦρ, ὅ ἐστιν ὑπὸ τὴν θυσίαν τοῦ σωτηρίου. 19 καὶ λήψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς τὸν βραχίονα ἑφθὸν ἀπὸ τοῦ κριοῦ καὶ ἄρτον ἕνα ἄζυμον ἀπὸ τοῦ κανοῦ καὶ λάγανον ἄζυμον ἓν καὶ ἐπιθήσει ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας τοῦ ηὐγμένου μετὰ τὸ ξυρήσασθαι αὐτὸν τὴν εὐχὴν αὐτοῦ· 20 καὶ προσοίσει αὐτὰ ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐπίθεμα ἔναντι Κυρίου, ἅγιον ἔσται τῷ ἱερεῖ ἐπὶ τοῦ στηθυνίου τοῦ ἐπιθέματος καὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ βραχίονος τοῦ ἀφαιρέματος, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα πίεται ὁ ηὐγμένος οἶνον. 21 οὗτος ὁ νόμος τοῦ εὐξαμένου, ὃς ἂν εὔξηται Κυρίῳ δῶρον αὐτοῦ Κυρίῳ περὶ τῆς εὐχῆς, χωρὶς ὧν ἂν εὕρῃ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ, κατὰ δύναμιν τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ, ἣν ἂν εὔξηται κατὰ νόμον ἁγνείας.
22 Καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 23 λάλησον ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ λέγων· οὕτως εὐλογήσετε τοὺς υἱοὺς ᾿Ισραήλ, λέγοντες αὐτοῖς· 24 εὐλογήσαι σε Κύριος καὶ φυλάξαι σε· 25 ἐπιφάναι Κύριος τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ἐλεήσαι σε· 26 ἐπάραι Κύριος τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ δώῃ σοι εἰρήνην. 27 καὶ ἐπιθήσουσι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ ἐγὼ Κύριος εὐλογήσω αὐτούς.
ΚΑΙ ἐγένετο ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ συνετέλεσε Μωυσῆς, ὥστε ἀναστῆσαι τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ ἔχρισεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἡγίασεν αὐτὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔχρισεν αὐτὰ καὶ ἡγίασεν αὐτά, 2 καὶ προσήνεγκαν οἱ ἄρχοντες ᾿Ισραήλ, δώδεκα ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν, οὗτοι οἱ ἄρχοντες φυλῶν, οὗτοι οἱ παρεστηκότες ἐπὶ τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς,
3 καὶ ἤνεγκαν τὸ δῶρον αὐτῶν ἔναντι Κυρίου, ἓξἁμάξας λαμπηνικὰς καὶ δώδεκα βόας, ἅμαξαν παρὰ δύο ἀρχόντων, καὶ μόσχον παρὰ ἑκάστου, καὶ προσήγαγον ἐναντίον τῆς σκηνῆς. 4 καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 5 λάβε παρ' αὐτῶν, καὶ ἔσονται πρὸς τὰ ἔργα τὰ λειτουργικὰ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ δώσεις αὐτὰ τοῖς Λευίταις, ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὴν αὐτοῦ λειτουργίαν. 6 καὶ λαβὼν Μωυσῆς τὰς ἁμάξας καὶ τοὺς βόας, ἔδωκεν αὐτὰ τοῖς Λευίταις· 7 καὶ τὰς δύο ἁμάξας καὶ τοὺς τέσσαρας βόας ἔδωκε τοῖς υἱοῖς Γεδσὼν κατὰ τὰς λειτουργίας αὐτῶν 8 καὶ τὰς τέσσαρας ἁμάξας καὶ τοὺς ὀκτὼ βόας ἔδωκε τοῖς υἱοῖς Μεραρὶ κατὰ τὰς λειτουργίας αὐτῶν, διὰ ᾿Ιθάμαρ υἱοῦ ᾿Ααρὼν τοῦ ἱερέως. 9 καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Καὰθ οὐ δέδωκεν, ὅτι τὰ λειτουργήματα τοῦ ἁγίου ἔχουσιν· ἐπ' ὤμων ἀροῦσιν. 10 καὶ προσήνεγκαν οἱ ἄρχοντες εἰς τὸν ἐγκαινισμὸν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου, ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ᾗ ἔχρισεν αὐτό, καὶ προσήνεγκαν οἱ ἄρχοντες τὰ δῶρα αὐτῶν ἀπέναντι τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου. 11 καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν· ἄρχων εἷς καθ' ἡμέραν, ἄρχων καθ' ἡμέραν προσοίσουσι τὰ δῶρα αὐτῶν εἰς τὸν ἐγκαινισμὸν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου. 12 Καὶ ἦν ὁ προσφέρων ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ πρώτῃ τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ Ναασσὼν υἱὸς ᾿Αμιναδάβ, ἄρχων τῆς φυλῆς ᾿Ιούδα. 13 καὶ προσήνεγκε τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ τρυβλίον ἀργυροῦν ἕν, τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ὁλκὴ αὐτοῦ, φιάλην μίαν ἀργυρᾶν ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον, ἀμφότερα πλήρη σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ εἰς θυσίαν· 14 θυΐσκην μίαν δέκα χρυσῶν πλήρη θυμιάματος· 15 μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνὸν ἕνα ἐνιαύσιον εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα· 16 καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας· 17 καὶ εἰς θυσίαν σωτηρίου δαμάλεις δύο, κριοὺς πέντε, τράγους πέντε, ἀμνάδας ἐνιαυσίας πέντε. τοῦτο δῶρον Ναασὼν υἱοῦ ᾿Αμιναδάβ. 18 τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ δευτέρᾳ προσήνεγκε Ναθαναὴλ υἱὸς Σωγάρ, ὁ ἄρχων τῆς φυλῆς ᾿Ισσάχαρ. 19 καὶ προσήνεγκε τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ τρυβλίον ἀργυροῦν ἕν, τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ὁλκὴ αὐτοῦ, φιάλην μίαν ἀργυρᾶν ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον, ἀμφότερα πλήρη σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ εἰς θυσίαν· 20 θυΐσκην μίαν δέκα χρυσῶν πλήρη θυμιάματος· 21 μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνὸν ἕνα ἐνιαύσιον εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα· 22 καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας· 23 καὶ εἰς θυσίαν σωτηρίου δαμάλεις δύο, κριοὺς πέντε, τράγους πέντε, ἀμνάδας ἐνιαυσίας πέντε. τοῦτο τὸ δῶρον Ναθαναὴλ υἱοῦ Σωγάρ. 24 τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ζαβουλὼν ῾Ελιὰβ υἱὸς Χαιλών. 25 τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ τρυβλίον ἀργυροῦν ἕν, τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ὁλκὴ αὐτοῦ, φιάλην μίαν ἀργυρᾶν ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον, ἀμφότερα πλήρη σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ εἰς θυσίαν· 26 θυΐσκην μίαν δέκα χρυσῶν πλήρη θυμιάματος· 27 μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνὸν ἕνα ἐνιαύσιον εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα· 28 καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας· 29 καὶ εἰς θυσίαν σωτηρίου δαμάλεις δύο, κριοὺς πέντε, τράγους πέντε, ἀμνάδας ἐνιαυσίας πέντε, τοῦτο τὸ δῶρον ῾Ελιὰβ υἱοῦ Χαιλών. 30 τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τετάρτῃ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ρουβὴν ῾Ελισοὺρ υἱὸς Σεδιούρ. 31 τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ τρυβλίον ἀργυροῦν ἕν, τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ὁλκὴ αὐτοῦ, φιάλην μίαν ἀργυρᾶν ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον, ἀμφότερα πλήρη σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ εἰς θυσίαν· 32 θυΐσκην μίαν δέκα χρυσῶν πλήρη θυμιάματος. 33 μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνὸν ἕνα ἐνιαύσιον εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα· 34 καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας· 35 καὶ εἰς θυσίαν σωτηρίου δαμάλεις δύο, κριοὺς πέντε, τράγους πέντε, ἀμνάδας ἐνιαυσίας πέντε, τοῦτο τὸ δῶρον ῾Ελισοὺρ υἱοῦ Σεδιούρ. 36 τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ πέμπτῃ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Συμεὼν Σαλαμιὴλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαί. 37 τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ τρυβλίον ἀργυροῦν ἕν, τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ὁλκὴ αὐτοῦ, φιάλην μίαν ἀργυρᾶν ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον, ἀμφότερα πλήρη σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ εἰς θυσίαν· 38 θυΐσκην μίαν δέκα χρυσῶν πλήρη θυμιάματος· 39 μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνὸν ἕνα ἐνιαύσιον εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα· τρυβλίον ἀργυροῦν ἕν, τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ὁλκὴ αὐτοῦ, φιάλην μίαν ἀργυρᾶν ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον, ἀμφότερα πλήρη σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ εἰς θυσίαν· 56 θυΐσκην μίαν ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Νεφθαλὶ ᾿Αχιρὲ υἱὸς Αἰνάν. 79 τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ τρυβλίον ἀργυροῦν ἕν, τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ὁλκὴ αὐτοῦ, φιάλην μίαν ἀργυρᾶν ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον, ἀμφότερα πλήρη σεμιδάλεως ἀναπεποιημένης ἐν ἐλαίῳ εἰς θυσίαν· 80 θυΐσκην μίαν δέκα χρυσῶν πλήρη θυμιάματος. 81 μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν, κριὸν ἕνα, ἀμνὸν ἕνα ἐνιαύσιον εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα. 82 καὶ χίμαρον ἐξ αἰγῶν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας· 83 καὶ εἰς θυσίαν σωτηρίου δαμάλεις δύο, κριοὺς πέντε, τράγους πέντε, ἀμνάδας ἐνιαυσίας πέντε. τοῦτο τὸ δῶρον ᾿Αχιρὲ υἱοῦ Αἰνάν. 84 οὗτος ὁ ἐγκαινισμὸς τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου, ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἔχρισεν αὐτὸ παρὰ τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ· τρυβλία ἀργυρᾶ δώδεκα, φιάλαι ἀργυραῖ δώδεκα, θυΐσκαι χρυσαῖ δώδεκα, 85 τριάκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν σίκλων τὸ τρυβλίον τὸ ἓν καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα σίκλων ἡ φιάλη ἡ μία, πᾶν τὸ ἀργύριον τῶν σκευῶν δισχίλιοι καὶ τετρακόσιοι σίκλοι, σίκλοι ἐν τῷ σίκλῳ τῷ ἁγίῳ· 86 θυΐσκαι χρυσαῖ δώδεκα πλήρεις θυμιάματος· πᾶν τὸ χρυσίον τῶν θυϊσκῶν εἴκοσι καὶ ἑκατὸν χρυσοῖ. 87 πᾶσαι αἱ βόες αἱ εἰς ὁλοκαύτωσιν μόσχοι δώδεκα, κριοὶ δώδεκα, ἀμνοὶ ἐνιαύσιοι δώδεκα καὶ αἱ θυσίαι αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ σπονδαὶ αὐτῶν· καὶ χίμαροι ἐξ αἰγῶν δώδεκα περὶ ἁμαρτίας. 88 πᾶσαι αἱ βόες εἰς θυσίαν σωτηρίου δαμάλεις εἰκοσιτέσσαρες, κριοὶ ἑξήκοντα, τράγοι ἑξήκοντα ἐνιαύσιοι, ἀμνάδες ἑξήκοντα ἐνιαύσιοι ἄμωμοι. αὕτη ἡ ἐγκαίνωσις τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου, μετὰ τὸ πληρῶσαι τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ καὶ μετὰ τὸ χρῖσαι αὐτόν, 89 ἐν τῷ εἰσπορεύεσθαι Μωυσῆν εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου λαλῆσαι αὐτῷ καὶ ἤκουσε τὴν φωνὴν Κυρίου λαλοῦντος πρὸς αὐτὸν ἄνωθεν τοῦ ἱλαστηρίου, ὅ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τῆς κιβωτοῦ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν δύο Χερουβίμ, καὶ ἐλάλει πρὸς αὐτόν.
ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 2 λάλησον τῷ ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτόν· ὅταν ἐπιτιθῇς τοὺς λύχνους, ἐκ μέρους κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς λυχνίας φωτιοῦσιν οἱ ἑπτὰ λύχνοι. 3 καὶ ἐποίησεν οὕτως ᾿Ααρών· ἐκ τοῦ ἑνὸς μέρους κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς λυχνίας ἐξῆψε τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς, καθὰ συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ. 4 καὶ αὕτη ἡ κατασκευὴ τῆς λυχνίας· στερεὰ χρυσῆ, ὁ καυλὸς αὐτῆς καὶ τὰ κρίνα αὐτῆς, στερεὰ ὅλη· κατὰ τὸ εἶδος, ὃ ἔδειξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ, οὕτως ἐποίησε τὴν λυχνίαν. 5 Καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 6 λάβε τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ ἀφαγνιεῖς αὐτούς. 7 καὶ οὕτω ποιήσεις αὐτοῖς τὸν ἁγνισμὸν αὐτῶν· περιρρανεῖς αὐτοὺς ὕδωρ ἁγνισμοῦ, καὶ ἐπελεύσεται ξυρὸν ἐπὶ πᾶν τὸ σῶμα αὐτῶν, καὶ πλυνοῦσι τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν, καὶ καθαροὶ ἔσονται. 8 καὶ λήψονται μόσχον ἕνα ἐκ βοῶν καὶ τούτου θυσίαν σεμίδαλιν ἀναπεποιημένην ἐν ἐλαίῳ, καὶ μόσχον ἐνιαύσιον ἐκ βοῶν λήψῃ περὶ ἁμαρτίας.
9 καὶ προσάξεις τοὺς Λευίτας ἔναντι τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ συνάξεις πᾶσαν συναγωγὴν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ 10 καὶ προσάξεις τοὺς Λευίτας ἔναντι Κυρίου, καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τοὺς Λευίτας, 11 καὶ ἀφοριεῖ ᾿Ααρὼν τοὺς Λευίτας ἀπόδομα ἔναντι Κυρίου παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ ἔσονται ὥστε ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα Κυρίου. 12 οἱ δὲ Λευῖται ἐπιθήσουσι τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς τῶν μόσχων, καὶ ποιήσεις τὸν ἕνα περὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ τὸν ἕνα εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα Κυρίῳ ἐξιλάσασθαι περὶ αὐτῶν. 13 καὶ στήσεις τοὺς Λευίτας ἔναντι Κυρίου καὶ ἔναντι ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ ἔναντι τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀποδώσεις αὐτοὺς ἀπόδομα ἔναντι Κυρίου· 14 καὶ διαστελεῖς τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ ἔσονται ἐμοί. 15 καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσονται οἱ Λευῖται ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ καθαριεῖς αὐτοὺς καὶ ἀποδώσεις αὐτοὺς ἔναντι Κυρίου· 16 ὅτι ἀπόδομα ἀποδεδομένοι οὗτοί μοί εἰσιν ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ· ἀντὶ τῶν διανοιγόντων πᾶσαν μήτραν πρωτοτόκων πάντων ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ εἴληφα αὐτοὺς ἐμοί. 17 ὅτι ἐμοὶ πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπων ἕως κτήνους· ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐπάταξα πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου, ἡγίασα αὐτοὺς ἐμοὶ
18 καὶ ἔλαβον τοὺς Λευίτας ἀντὶ παντὸς πρωτοτόκου ἐν υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραήλ. 19 καὶ ἀπέδωκα τοὺς Λευίτας ἀπόδομα δεδομένους ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ ἐκ μέσου υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐξιλάσκεσθαι περὶ τῶν υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ προσεγγίζων πρὸς τὰ ἅγια. 20 καὶ ἐποίησε Μωυσῆς καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ υἱῶν ᾿Ισραὴλ τοῖς Λευίταις καθὰ ἐνετείλατο Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ περὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν, οὕτως ἐποίησαν αὐτοῖς οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ. 21 καὶ ἡγνίσαντο οἱ Λευῖται καὶ ἐπλύναντο τὰ ἱμάτια, καὶ ἀπέδωκεν αὐτοὺς ᾿Ααρὼν ἀπόδομα ἔναντι Κυρίου, καὶ ἐξιλάσατο περὶ αὐτῶν ᾿Ααρὼν ἀφαγνίσασθαι αὐτούς. 22 καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσῆλθον οἱ Λευῖται λειτουργεῖν τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἔναντι ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ ἔναντι τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ· καθὰ συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ περὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν, οὕτως ἐποίησαν αὐτοῖς. 23 Καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 24 τοῦτό ἐστι τὸ περὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν· ἀπὸ πέντε καὶ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω εἰσελεύσονται ἐνεργεῖν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου· 25 καὶ ἀπὸ πεντηκονταετοῦς ἀποστήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς λειτουργίας καὶ οὐκ ἐργᾶται ἔτι. 26 καὶ λειτουργήσει ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου φυλάσσειν φυλακάς, ἔργα δὲ οὐκ ἐργᾶται. οὕτως ποιήσεις τοῖς Λευίταις ἐν ταῖς φυλακαῖς αὐτῶν.
9 ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινὰ ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ δευτέρῳ, ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πρώτῳ, λέγων· 2 εἶπον καὶ ποιείτωσαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ τὸ πάσχα καθ' ὥραν αὐτοῦ· 3 τῇ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτῃ ἡμέρα τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου πρὸς ἑσπέραν ποιήσεις αὐτὸ κατὰ καιρούς, κατὰ τὸν νόμον αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὴν σύγκρισιν αὐτοῦ ποιήσεις αὐτό. 4 καὶ ἐλάλησε Μωυσῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ ποιῆσαι τὸ πάσχα. 5 ἐναρχομένου τῇ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ μηνὸς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τοῦ Σινά, καθὰ συνέταξε Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ, οὕτως ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ. 6 Καὶ παρεγένοντο οἱ ἄνδρες, οἳ ἦσαν ἀκάθαρτοι ἐπὶ ψυχῇ ἀνθρώπου, καὶ οὐκ ἠδύναντο ποιῆσαι τὸ πάσχα ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ. καὶ προσῆλθον ἐναντίον Μωυσῆ καὶ ᾿Ααρὼν ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ, 7 καὶ εἶπαν οἱ ἄνδρες ἐκεῖνοι πρὸς αὐτόν· ἡμεῖς ἀκάθαρτοι ἐπὶ ψυχῇ ἀνθρώπου, μὴ οὖν ὑστερήσωμεν προσενέγκαι τὸ δῶρον Κυρίῳ κατὰ καιρὸν αὐτοῦ ἐν μέσῳ υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ; 8 καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτοὺς Μωυσῆς· στῆτε αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀκούσομαι τί ἐντελεῖται Κύριος περὶ ὑμῶν. 9 καὶ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 10 λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς ᾿Ισραὴλ λέγων· ἄνθρωπος ἄνθρωπος, ὃς ἐὰν γένηται ἀκάθαρτος ἐπὶ ψυχῇ ἀνθρώπου, ἢ ἐν ὁδῷ μακρὰν ὑμῖν, ἢ ἐν ταῖς γενεαῖς ὑμῶν, καὶ ποιήσει τὸ πάσχα Κυρίῳ· 11 ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ, ἐν τῇ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτῃ ἡμέρᾳ, τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν ποιήσουσιν αὐτό, ἐπ' ἀζύμων καὶ πικρίδων φάγονται αὐτό, 12 οὐ καταλείψουσιν ἀπ' αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ πρωΐ, καὶ ὀστοῦν οὐ συντρίψουσιν ἀπ' αὐτοῦ· κατὰ τὸν νόμον τοῦ πάσχα ποιήσουσιν αὐτό. 13 καὶ ἄνθρωπος, ὃς ἐὰν καθαρὸς ᾖ καὶ ἐν ὁδῷ μακρὰν οὐκ ἔστι καὶ ὑστερήσῃ ποιῆσαι τὸ πάσχα, ἐξολοθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτῆς, ὅτι τὸ δῶρον Κυρίῳ οὐ προσήνεγκε κατὰ τὸν καιρὸν αὐτοῦ, ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῦ λήψεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος. 14 ἐὰν δὲ προσέλθῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς προσήλυτος ἐν τῇ γῇ ὑμῶν καὶ ποιήσῃ τὸ πάσχα Κυρίῳ, κατὰ τὸν νόμον τοῦ πάσχα καὶ κατὰ τὴν σύνταξιν αὐτοῦ ποιήσει αὐτό· νόμος εἷς ἔσται ὑμῖν καὶ τῷ προσηλύτῳ καὶ τῷ αὐτόχθονι τῆς γῆς.
15 Καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ, ᾗ ἐστάθη ἡ σκηνή, ἐκάλυψεν ἡ νεφέλη τὴν σκηνήν, τὸν οἶκον τοῦ μαρτυρίου· καὶ τὸ ἑσπέρας ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς ὡς εἶδος πυρὸς ἕως πρωΐ. 16 οὕτως ἐγίνετο διαπαντός· ἡ νεφέλη ἐκάλυπτεν αὐτὴν ἡμέρας καὶ εἶδος πυρὸς τὴν νύκτα. 17 καὶ ἡνίκα ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη ἀπὸ τῆς σκηνῆς, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἀπῇραν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ· καὶ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ, οὗ ἂν ἔστη ἡ νεφέλη, ἐκεῖ παρενέβαλον οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ. 18 διὰ προστάγματος Κυρίου παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ καὶ διὰ προστάγματος Κυρίου ἀπαροῦσι· πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας, ἐν αἷς σκιάζει ἡ νεφέλη ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς, παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ· 19 καὶ ὅταν ἐφέλκηται ἡ νεφέλη ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς ἡμέρας πλείους, καὶ φυλάξονται οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ τὴν φυλακὴν τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐξάρωσι.
20 καὶ ἔσται ὅταν σκεπάζῃ ἡ νεφέλη ἡμέρας ἀριθμῷ ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς, διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου παρεμβαλοῦσι, καὶ διὰ προστάγματος Κυρίου ἀπαροῦσι· 21 καὶ ἔσται ὅταν γένηται ἡ νεφέλη ἀφ' ἑσπέρας ἕως πρωΐ καὶ ἀναβῇ ἡ νεφέλη τὸ πρωΐ, καὶ ἀπαροῦσιν ἡμέρας ἢ νυκτός·
22 μηνὸς ἡμέρας πλεοναζούσης τῆς νεφέλης σκιαζούσης ἐπ' αὐτῆς παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀπάρωσιν· 23 ὅτι διὰ προστάγματος Κυρίου ἀπαροῦσι, τὴν φυλακὴν Κυρίου ἐφυλάξαντο διὰ προστάγματος Κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ.
ΚΑΙ ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων· 2 ποίησον σεαυτῷ δύο σάλπιγγας ἀργυρᾶς, ἐλατὰς ποιήσεις αὐτάς, καὶ ἔσονταί σοι ἀνακαλεῖν τὴν συναγωγὴν καὶ ἐξαίρειν τὰς παρεμβολάς.
3 καὶ σαλπιεῖς ἐν αὐταῖς καὶ συναχθήσεται πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου· 4 ἐὰν δὲ ἐν μιᾷ σαλπίσωσι, προσελεύσονται πρὸς σὲ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες ἀρχηγοὶ ᾿Ισραήλ. 5 καὶ σαλπιεῖτε σημασίαν, καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι ἀνατολάς· 6 καὶ σαλπιεῖτε σημασίαν δευτέραν, καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι λίβα· καὶ σαλπιεῖτε σημασίαν τρίτην, καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι παρὰ θάλασσαν· καὶ σαλπιεῖτε σημασίαν τετάρτην, καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αἱ παρεμβάλλουσαι πρὸς βορρᾶν· σημασία σαλπιοῦσιν ἐν τῇ ἐξάρσει αὐτῶν. 7 καὶ ὅταν συναγάγητε τὴν συναγωγήν, σαλπιεῖτε καὶ οὐ σημασίᾳ 8 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ααρὼν οἱ ἱερεῖς σαλπιοῦσι ταῖς σάλπιγξι, καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν νόμιμον αἰώνιον εἰς τὰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν. 9 ἐὰν δὲ ἐξέλθητε εἰς πόλεμον ἐν τῇ γῇ ὑμῶν πρὸς τοὺς ὑπεναντίους τοὺς ἀνθεστηκότας ὑμῖν, καὶ σημανεῖτε ταῖς σάλπιγξι καὶ ἀναμνησθήσεσθε ἔναντι Κυρίου καὶ διασωθήσεσθε ἀπὸ τῶν ἐχθρῶν ὑμῶν. 10 καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις τῆς εὐφροσύνης ὑμῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἑορταῖς ὑμῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς νουμηνίαις ὑμῶν σαλπιεῖτε ταῖς σάλπιγξιν ἐπὶ τοῖς ὁλοκαυτώμασι καὶ ἐπὶ ταῖς θυσίαις τῶν σωτηρίων ὑμῶν, καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν ἀνάμνησις ἔναντι τοῦ Θεοῦ ὑμῶν· ἐγὼ Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς ὑμῶν. 11 Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ τῷ δευτέρῳ ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνὸς ἀνέβη ἡ νεφέλη ἀπὸ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, 12 καὶ ἐξῇραν οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ σὺν ἀπαρτίαις αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινά, καὶ ἔστη ἡ νεφέλη ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τοῦ Φαράν. 13 καὶ ἐξῇραν πρῶτοι διὰ φωνῆς Κυρίου ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ. 14 καὶ ἐξῇραν τάγμα παρεμβολῆς υἱῶν ᾿Ιούδα πρῶτοι σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτῶν Ναασσὼν υἱὸς ᾿Αμιναδάβ, 15 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς υἱῶν ᾿Ισσάχαρ Ναθαναὴλ υἱὸς Σωγάρ, 16 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς υἱῶν Ζαβουλὼν ᾿Ελιὰβ υἱὸς Χαιλών. 17 καὶ καθελοῦσι τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Γεδσὼν καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Μεραρί, οἱ αἴροντες τὴν σκηνήν. 18 καὶ ἐξῇραν τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Ρουβὴν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτῶν ᾿Ελισοὺρ υἱὸς Σεδιούρ, 19 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς Συμεών, Σαλαμιὴλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαί, 20 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς υἱῶν Γὰδ ᾿Ελισὰφ ὁ τοῦ Ραγουήλ. 21 καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν υἱοὶ Καὰθ αἴροντες τὰ ἅγια καὶ στήσουσι τὴν σκηνήν, ἕως παραγένωνται.
22 καὶ ἐξαροῦσι τάγμα παρεμβολῆς ᾿Εφραΐμ σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτῶν ᾿Ελισαμὰ υἱὸς Σεμιούδ, 23 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς υἱῶν Μανασσῆ Γαμαλιὴλ ὁ τοῦ Φαδασσούρ, 24 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς υἱῶν Βενιαμὶν ᾿Αβιδὰν ὁ τοῦ Γαδεωνί. 25 καὶ ἐξαροῦσι τάγμα παρεμβολῆς υἱῶν Δάν, ἔσχατοι πασῶν τῶν παρεμβολῶν, σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτῶν ᾿Αχιέζερ ὁ τοῦ ᾿Αμισαδαΐ, 26 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς υἱῶν ᾿Ασὴρ Φαγεὴλ υἱὸς ᾿Εχράν, 27 καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως φυλῆς υἱῶν Νεφθαλὶ ᾿Αχιρὲ υἱὸς Αἰνάν. 28 αὗται αἱ στρατιαὶ υἱῶν ᾿Ισραήλ, καὶ ἐξῇραν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν. 29 Καὶ εἶπε Μωυσῆς τῷ ᾿Οβὰβ υἱῷ Ραγουὴλ τῷ Μαδιανίτῃ τῷ γαμβρῷ Μωυσῆ· ἐξαίρομεν ἡμεῖς εἰς τὸν τόπον ὃν εἶπε Κύριος, τοῦτον δώσω ὑμῖν· δεῦρο μεθ' ἡμῶν, καὶ εὖ σε ποιήσομεν, ὅτι Κύριος ἐλάλησε καλὰ περὶ ᾿Ισραήλ.
30 καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτόν· οὐ πορεύσομαι, ἀλλὰ εἰς τὴν γῆν μου καὶ εἰς τὴν γενεάν μου. 31 καὶ εἶπε· μὴ ἐγκαταλίπῃς ἡμᾶς, οὗ ἕνεκεν ἦσθα μεθ' ἡμῶν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, καὶ ἔσῃ ἐν ἡμῖν πρεσβύτης· 32 καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν πορευθῇς μεθ' ἡμῶν, καὶ ἔσται τὰ ἀγαθὰ ἐκεῖνα, ὅσα ἂν ἀγαθοποιήσῃ Κύριος ἡμᾶς, καὶ εὖ σε ποιήσομεν. 33 Καὶ ἐξῇραν ἐκ τοῦ ὄρους Κυρίου ὁδὸν τριῶν ἡμερῶν, καὶ ἡ κιβωτὸς τῆς διαθήκης Κυρίου προεπορεύετο προτέρα αὐτῶν ὁδὸν τριῶν ἡμερῶν κατασκέψασθαι αὐτοῖς ἀνάπαυσιν. 34 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ εἶπε Μωυσῆς· ἐξεγέρθητι, Κύριε, καὶ διασκορπισθήτωσαν οἱ ἐχθροί σου, φυγέτωσαν πάντες οἱ μισοῦντές σε. 35 καὶ ἐν τῇ καταπαύσει εἶπεν· ἐπίστρεφε, Κύριε, χιλιάδας μυριάδας ἐν τῷ ᾿Ισραήλ.
36 καὶ ἡ νεφέλη ἐγένετο σκιάζουσα ἐπ' αὐτοῖς ἡμέρας ἐν τῷ
ἐξαίρειν αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς.

NUMBERS 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sina, in the tabernacle of witness, on the first day of the second month, in the second year of their departure from the land of Egypt, saying, 2 Take the sum of all the congregation of Israel according to their kindreds, according to the houses of their fathers’ families, according to their number by their names, according to their heads: 3 every male from twenty years old and upwards, every one that goes forth in the forces of Israel, take account of them with their strength; thou and Aaron take account of them. 4 And with you there shall be each one of the rulers according to the tribe of each: they shall be according to the houses of their families. 5 And these are the names of the men who shall be present with you; of the tribe of Ruben, Elisur the son of Sediur. 6 Of Symeon, Salamiel the son of Surisadai. 7 Of Juda, Naasson the son of Aminadab. 8 Of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Sogar. 9 Of Zabulon, Eliab the son of Chaelon. 10 Of the sons of Joseph, of Ephraim, Elisama the son of Emiud: of Manasses, Gamaliel the son of Phadasur. 11 Of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gadeoni. 12 Of Dan, Achiezer the son of Amisadai. 13 Of Aser, Phagaiel the son of Echran. 14 Of Gad, Elisaph the son of Raguel. 15 Of Nephthali, Achire the son of Ænan. 16 These were famous men of the congregation, heads of the tribes according to their families: these are heads of thousands in Israel. 17 And Moses and Aaron took these men who were called by name. 18 And they assembled all the congregation on the first day of the month in the second year; and they registered them after their lineage, after their families, after the number of their names, from twenty years old and upwards, every male according to their number: 19 as the Lord commanded Moses, so they were numbered in the wilderness of Sina. 20 And the sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their heads, were—all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that went out with the host, 21 the numbering of them of the tribe of Ruben, was forty-six thousand and four hundred. 22 For the children of Symeon according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out with the host, 23 the numbering of them of the tribe of Symeon, was fifty-nine thousand and three hundred. 24 For the sons of Juda according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host, 25 the numbering of them of the tribe of Juda, was seventy-four thousand and six hundred. 26 For the sons of Issachar according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host, 27 the numbering of them of the tribe of Issachar, was fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
28 For the sons of Zabulon according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out with the host, 29 the numbering of them of the tribe of Zabulon, was fifty-seven thousand and four hundred. 30 For the sons of Joseph, the sons of Ephraim, according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out with the host, 31 the numbering of them of the tribe of Ephraim, was forty thousand and five hundred. 32 For the sons of Manasse according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out with the host, 33 the numbering of them of the tribe of Manasse, was thirty-two thousand and two hundred. 34 For the sons of Benjamin according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host, 35 the numbering of them of the tribe of Benjamin, was thirty-five thousand and four hundred. 36 For the sons of Gad according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host, 37 the numbering of them of the tribe of Gad, was forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
38 For the sons of Dan according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, all males from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host, 39 the numbering of them of the tribe of Dan, was sixty and two thousand and seven hundred. 40 For the sons of Aser according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host, 41 the numbering of them of the tribe of Aser, was forty and one thousand and five hundred. 42 For the sons of Nephthali according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, every one who goes forth with the host, 43 the numbering of them of the tribe of Nephthali, was fifty-three thousand and four hundred. 44 This is the numbering which Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel, being twelve men, conducted: there was a man for each tribe, they were according to the tribe of the houses of their family. 45 And the whole numbering of the children of Israel with their host from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out to set himself in battle array in Israel, came to 46 six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty. 47 But the Levites of the tribe of their family were not counted among the children of Israel. 48 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 49 See, thou shalt not muster the tribe of Levi, and thou shalt not take their numbers, in the midst of the children of Israel. 50 And do thou set the Levites over the tabernacle of witness, and over all its furniture, and over all things that are in it; and they shall do service in it, and they shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
51 And in removing the tabernacle, the Levites shall take it down, and in pitching the tabernacle they shall set it up: and let the stranger that advances to touch it die. 52 And the children of Israel shall encamp, every man in his own order, and every man according to his company, with their host. 53 But let the Levites encamp round about the tabernacle of witness fronting it, and so there shall be no sin among the children of Israel; and the Levites themselves shall keep the guard of the tabernacle of witness. 54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
2 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
2 Let the children of Israel encamp fronting each other, every man keeping his own rank, according to their standards, according to the houses of their families; the children of Israel shall encamp round about the tabernacle of witness. 3 And they that encamp first toward the east shall be the order of the camp of Juda with their host, and the prince of the sons of Juda, Naasson the son of Aminadab. 4 His forces that were numbered, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred. 5 And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Issachar, and the prince of the sons of Issachar shall be Nathanael the son of Sogar. 6 His forces that were numbered, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred. 7 And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Zabulon, and the prince of the sons of Zabulon shall be Eliab the son of Chaelon. 8 His forces that were numbered, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred. 9 All that were numbered of the camp of Juda were a hundred and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred: they shall move first with their forces.
10 This is the order of the camp of Ruben; their forces shall be toward the south, and the prince of the children of Ruben shall be Elisur the son of Sediur. 11 His forces that were numbered, were forty-six thousand and five hundred. 12 And they that encamp next to him shall be of the tribe of Symeon, and the prince of the sons of Symeon shall be Salamiel the son of Surisadai. 13 His forces that were numbered, were fifty-nine thousand and three hundred. 14 And they that encamp next to them shall be the tribe of Gad; and the prince of the sons of Gad, Elisaph the son of Raguel. 15 His forces that were numbered, were forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
16 All who were numbered of the camp of Ruben, were a hundred and fifty-one thousand and four hundred and fifty: they with their forces shall proceed in the second place. 17 And then the tabernacle of witness shall be set forward, and the camp of the Levites shall be between the camps; as they shall encamp, so also shall they commence their march, each one next in order to his fellow according to their companies. 18 The station of the camp of Ephraim shall be westward with their forces, and the head of the children of Ephraim shall be Elisama the son of Emiud. 19 His forces that were numbered, are forty thousand and five hundred. 20 And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Manasse, and the prince of the sons of Manasse, Gamaliel the son of Phadassur. 21 His forces that were numbered, were thirty-two thousand and two hundred. 22 And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Benjamin, and the prince of the sons of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gadeoni. 23 His forces that were numbered, were thirty-five thousand and four hundred. 24 All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim, were one hundred and eight thousand and one hundred: they with their forces shall set out third. 25 The order of the camp of Dan shall be northward with their forces; and the prince of the sons of Dan, Achiezer the son of Amisadai. 26 His forces that were numbered, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred. 27 And they that encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Aser; and the prince of the sons of Aser, Phagiel the son of Echran. 28 His forces that were numbered, were forty-one thousand and five hundred. 29 And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Nephthali; and the prince of the children of Nephthali, Achire son Ænan. 30 His forces that were numbered were fifty-three thousand and four hundred. 31 All that were numbered of the camp of Dan, were a hundred and fifty-seven thousand and six hundred: they shall set out last according to their order. 32 This is the numbering of the children of Israel according to the houses of their families: all the numbering of the camps with their forces, was six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty.
33 But the Levites were not numbered with them, as the Lord commanded Moses. 34 And the children of Israel did all things that the Lord commanded Moses; thus they encamped in their order, and thus they began their march in succession each according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families.
And these are the generations of Aaron and Moses, in the day in which the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sina. 2 And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the first-born; and Abiud, Eleazar and Ithamar. 3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests whom they consecrated to the priesthood. 4 And Nadab and Abiud died before the Lord, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the wilderness of Sina; and they had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priests’ office with Aaron their father. 5 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 6 Take the tribe of Levi, and thou shalt set them before Aaron the priest, and they shall minister to him, 7 and shall keep his charges, and the charges of the children of Israel, before the tabernacle of witness, to do the works of the tabernacle. 8 And they shall keep all the furniture of the tabernacle of witness, and the charges of the children of Israel as to all the works of the tabernacle. 9 And thou shalt give the Levites to Aaron, and to his sons the priests; they are given for a gift to me of the children of Israel. 10 And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons over the tabernacle of witness; and they shall keep their charge of priesthood, and all things belonging to the altar, and within the veil; and the stranger that touches them shall die. 11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 12 Behold, I have taken the Levites from the midst of the children of Israel, instead of every male that opens the womb from among the children of Israel: they shall be their ransom, and the Levites shall be mine. 13 For every first-born is mine; in the day in which I smote every first-born in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to myself every first-born in Israel: both of man and beast, they shall be mine: I am the Lord. 14 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sina, saying, 15 Take the number of the sons of Levi, according to the houses of their families, according to their divisions; number ye them every male from a month old and upwards. 16 And Moses and Aaron numbered them by the word of the Lord, as the Lord commanded them.
17 And these were the sons of Levi by their names; Gedson, Caath, and Merari. 18 And these are the names of the sons of Gedson according to their families; Lobeni and Semei: 19 and the sons of Caath according to their families; Amram and Issaar, Chebron and Oziel: 20 and the sons of Merari according to their families, Mooli and Musi; these are the families of the Levites according to the houses of their families. 21 To Gedson belongs the family of Lobeni, and the family of Semei: these are the families of Gedson. 22 The numbering of them according to the number of every male from a month old and upwards, their numbering was seven thousand and five hundred. 23 And the sons of Gedson shall encamp westward behind the tabernacle. 24 And the ruler of the household of the family of Gedson was Elisaph the son of Dael. 25 And the charge of the sons of Gedson in the tabernacle of witness was the tent and the veil, and the covering of the door of the tabernacle of witness,
26 and the curtains of the court, and the veil of the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and the remainder of all its works. 27 To Caath belonged one division, that of Amram, and another division, that of Issaar, and another division, that of Chebron, and another division, that of Oziel: these are the divisions of Caath, according to number. 28 Every male from a month old and upward, eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charges of the holy things. 29 The families of the sons of Caath, shall encamp beside the tabernacle toward the south. 30 And the chief of the house of the families of the divisions of Caath, was Elisaphan the son of Oziel. 31 And their charge was the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and all the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they do holy service, and the veil, and all their works. 32 And the chief over the chief of the Levites, was Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, appointed to keep the charges of the holy things. 33 To Merari belonged the family of Mooli, and the family of Musi: these are the families of Merari. 34 The mustering of them according to number, every male from a month old and upwards, was six thousand and fifty. 35 And the head of the house of the families of the division of Merari, was Suriel the son of Abichail: they shall encamp by the side of the tabernacle northwards. 36 The oversight of the charge of the sons of Merari included the chapiters of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and all their furniture, and their works, 37 and the pillars of the court round about, and their bases, and their pins, and their cords.
38 They that encamp before the tabernacle of witness on the east shall be Moses and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charges of the sanctuary according to the charges of the children of Israel; and the stranger that touches them, shall die.
39 All the numbering of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, according to their families, every male from a month old and upwards, were two and twenty thousand. 40 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Count every first-born male of the children of Israel from a month old and upwards, and take the number by name.
41 And thou shalt take the Levites for me—I am the Lord—instead of all the first-born of the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the first-born among the cattle of the children of Israel. 42 And Moses counted, as the Lord commanded him, every first-born among the children of Israel. 43 And all the male first-born in number by name, from a month old and upwards, were according to their numbering twenty-two thousand and two hundred and seventy-three. 44 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 45 Take the Levites instead of all the first-born of the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle, and the Levites shall be mine; I am the Lord. 46 And for the ransoms of the two hundred and seventy-three which exceed the Levites in number of the first-born of the sons of Israel; 47 thou shalt even take five shekels a head; thou shalt take them according to the holy didrachm, twenty oboli to the shekel. 48 And thou shalt give the money to Aaron and to his sons, the ransom of those who exceed in number among them. 49 And Moses took the silver, the ransom of those that exceeded in number the redemption of the Levites. 50 He took the silver from the first-born of the sons of Israel, a thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, according to the holy shekel. 51 And Moses gave the ransom of them that were over to Aaron and his sons, by the word of the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.
And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
2 Take the sum of the children of Caath from the midst of the sons of Levi, after their families, according to the houses of their fathers’ households; 3 from twenty-five years old and upward until fifty years, every one that goes in to minister, to do all the works in the tabernacle of witness.
4 And these are the works of the sons of Caath in the tabernacle of witness; it is most holy. 5 And Aaron and his sons shall go in, when the camp is about to move, and shall take down the shadowing veil, and shall cover with it the ark of the testimony.
6 And they shall put on it a cover, even a blue skin, and put on it above a garment all of blue, and shall put the staves through the rings.
7 And they shall put on the table set forth for shew-bred a cloth all of purple, and the dishes, and the censers, and the cups, and the vessels with which one offers drink-offerings; and the continual loaves shall be upon it. 8 And they shall put upon it a scarlet cloth, and they shall cover it with a blue covering of skin, and they shall put the staves into it.
9 And they shall take a blue covering, and cover the candlestick that gives light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its funnels, and all the vessels of oil with which they minister.
10 And they shall put it, and all its vessels, into a blue skin cover; and they shall put it on bearers.
11 And they shall put a blue cloth for a cover on the golden altar, and shall cover it with a blue skin cover, and put in its staves.
12 And they shall take all the instruments of service, with which they minister in the sanctuary: and shall place them in a cloth of blue, and shall cover them with blue skin covering, and put them upon staves.
13 And he shall put the covering on the altar, and they shall cover it with a cloth all of purple.
14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels with which they minister upon it, and the fire-pans, and the flesh-hooks, and the cups, and the cover, and all the vessels of the altar; and they shall put on it a blue cover of skins, and shall put in its staves; and they shall take a purple cloth, and cover the laver and its foot, and they shall put it into a blue cover of skin, and put it on bars.
15 And Aaron and his sons shall finish covering the holy things, and all the holy vessels, when the camp begins to move; and afterwards the sons of Caath shall go in to take up the furniture; but shall not touch the holy things, lest they die: these shall the sons of Caath bear in the tabernacle of witness. 16 Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest is overseer—the oil of the light, and the incense of composition, and the daily meat-offering and the anointing oil, are his charge; even the oversight of the whole tabernacle, and all things that are in it in the holy place, in all the works. 17 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
18 Ye shall not destroy the family of Caath from the tribe out of the midst of the Levites. 19 This do ye to them, and they shall live and not die, when they approach the holy of holies: Let Aaron and his sons advance, and they shall place them each in his post for bearing.
20 And so they shall by no means go in to look suddenly upon the holy things, and die. 21 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 22 Take the sum of the children of Gedson, and these according to the houses of their lineage, according to their families. 23 Take the number of them from five and twenty years old and upwards until the age of fifty, every one that goes in to minister, to do his business in the tabernacle of witness. 24 This is the public service of the family of Gedson, to minister and to bear. 25 And they shall bear the skins of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of witness, and its veil, and the blue cover that was on it above, and the cover of the door of the tabernacle of witness.
26 And all the curtains of the court which were upon the tabernacle of witness, and the appendages, and all the vessels of service that they minister with they shall attend to. 27 According to the direction of Aaron and his sons shall be the ministry of the sons of Gedson, in all their ministries, and in all their works; and thou shalt take account of them by name in all things borne by them.
28 This is the service of the sons of Gedson in the tabernacle of witness, and their charge by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 29 The sons of Merari according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, take ye the number of them. 30 Take the number of them from five and twenty years old and upwards until fifty years old, every one that goes in to perform the services of the tabernacle of witness. 31 And these are the charges of the things borne by them according to all their works in the tabernacle of witness: they shall bear the chapiters of the tabernacle, and the bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and the veil, and there shall be their sockets, and their pillars, and the curtain of the door of the tabernacle.
32 And they shall bear the pillars of the court round about, and there shall be their sockets, and they shall bear the pillars of the veil of the door of the court, and their sockets and their pins, and their cords, and all their furniture, and all their instruments of service: take ye their number by name, and all the articles of the charge of the things borne by them.
33 This is the ministration of the family of the sons of Merari in all their works in the tabernacle of witness, by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 34 And Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel took the number of the sons of Caath according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage; 35 from five and twenty years old and upwards to the age of fifty years, every one that goes in to minister and do service in the tabernacle of witness.
36 And the numbering of them according to their families was two thousand, seven hundred and fifty. 37 This is the numbering of the family of Caath, every one that ministers in the tabernacle of witness, as Moses and Aaron numbered them by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses. 38 And the sons of Gedson were numbered according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, 39 from five and twenty years old and upward till fifty years old, every one that goes in to minister and to do the services in the tabernacle of witness.
40 And the numbering of them according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, was two thousand six hundred and thirty. 41 This is the numbering of the family of the sons of Gedson, every one who ministers in the tabernacle of witness; whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses. 42 And also the family of the sons of Merari were numbered according to their divisions, according to the house of their fathers; 43 from five and twenty years old and upward till fifty years old, every one that goes in to minister in the services of the tabernacle of witness.
44 And the numbering of them according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, was three thousand and two hundred. 45 This is the numbering of the family of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses. 46 All that were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel numbered, namely, the Levites, according to their families and according to the houses of their lineage, 47 from five and twenty years old and upward till fifty years old, every one that goes in to the service of the works, and the charge of the things that are carried in the tabernacle of witness. 48 And they that were numbered were eight thousand five hundred and eighty. 49 He reviewed them by the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses, appointing each man severally over their respective work, and over their burdens; and they were numbered, as the Lord commanded Moses.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 Charge the children of Israel, and let them send forth out of the camp every leper, and every one who has in issue of the reins, and every one who is unclean from a dead body. 3 Whether male or female, send them forth out of the camp; and they shall not defile their camps in which I dwell among them.
4 And the children of Israel did so, and sent them out of the camp: as the Lord said to Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 6 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Every man or woman who shall commit any sin that is common to man, or if that soul shall in anywise have neglected the commandment and transgressed; 7 that person shall confess the sin which he has committed, and shall make satisfaction for his trespass: he shall pay the principal, and shall add to it the fifth part, and shall make restoration to him against whom he has trespassed. 8 But if a man have no near kinsman, so as to make satisfaction for his trespass to him, the trespass-offering paid to the Lord shall be for the priest, besides the ram of atonement, by which he shall make atonement with it for him. 9 And every first-fruits in all the sanctified things among the children of Israel, whatsoever they shall offer to the Lord, shall be for the priest himself. 10 And the hallowed things of every man shall be his; and whatever man shall give any thing to the priest, the gift shall be his. 11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 12 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whosesoever wife shall transgress against him, and slight and despise him, 13 and supposing any one shall lie with her carnally, and the thing shall be hid from the eyes of her husband, and she should conceal it and be herself defiled, and there be no witness with her, and she should not be taken; 14 and there should come upon him a spirit of jealousy, and he should be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled; or there should come upon him a spirit of jealousy, and he should be jealous of his wife, and she should not be defiled; 15 then shall the man bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring his gift for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley-meal: he shall not pour oil upon it, neither shall he put frankincense upon it; for it is a sacrifice of jealousy, a sacrifice of memorial, recalling sin to remembrance. 16 And the priest shall bring her, and cause her to stand before the Lord. 17 And the priest shall take pure running water in an earthen vessel, and he shall take of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle of witness, and the priest having taken it shall cast it into the water. 18 And the priest shall cause the woman to stand before the Lord, and shall uncover the head of the woman, and shall put into her hands the sacrifice of memorial, the sacrifice of jealousy; and in the hand of the priest shall be the water of this conviction that brings the curse. 19 And the priest shall adjure her, and shall say to the woman, If no one has lain with thee, and if thou hast not transgressed so as to be polluted, being under the power of thy husband, be free from this water of the conviction that causes the curse. 20 But if being a married woman thou hast transgressed, or been polluted, and any one has lain with thee, beside thy husband: 21 then the priest shall adjure the woman by the oaths of this curse, and the priest shall say to the woman, The Lord bring thee into a curse and under an oath in the midst of thy people, in that the Lord should cause thy thigh to rot and thy belly to swell; 22 and this water bringing the curse shall enter into thy womb to cause thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot. And the woman shall say, So be it, So be it.
23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall blot them out with the water of the conviction that brings the curse. 24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the water of the conviction that brings the curse; and the water of the conviction that brings the curse shall enter into her. 25 And the priest shall take from the hand of the woman the sacrifice of jealousy, and shall present the sacrifice before the Lord, and shall bring it to the altar.
26 And the priest shall take a handful of the sacrifice as a memorial of it, and shall offer it up upon the altar; and afterwards he shall cause the woman to drink the water. 27 And it shall come to pass, if she be defiled, and have altogether escaped the notice of her husband, then the water of the conviction that brings the curse shall enter into her; and she shall swell in her belly, and her thigh shall rot, and the woman shall be for a curse in the midst of her people. 28 But if the woman have not been polluted, and be clean, then shall she be guiltless and shall conceive seed. 29 This is the law of jealousy, wherein a married woman should happen to transgress, and be defiled; 30 or in the case of a man on whomsoever the spirit of jealousy should come, and he should be jealous of his wife, and he should place his wife before the Lord, and the priest shall execute towards her all this law. 31 Then the man shall be clear from sin, and that woman shall bear her sin.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whatsoever man or woman shall specially vow a vow to separate oneself with purity to the Lord, 3 he shall purely abstain from wine and strong drink; and he shall drink no vinegar of wine or vinegar of strong drink; and whatever is made of the grape he shall not drink; neither shall he eat fresh grapes or raisins, 4 all the days of his vow: he shall eat no one of all the things that come from the vine, wine from the grape-stones to the husk, 5 all the days of his separation:—a razor shall not come upon his head, until the days be fulfilled which he vowed to the Lord: he shall be holy, cherishing the long hair of the head, 6 all the days of his vow to the Lord: he shall not come nigh to any dead body, 7 to his father or his mother, or to his brother or his sister; he shall not defile himself for them, when they have died, because the vow of God is upon him on his head. 8 All the days of his vow he shall be holy to the Lord.
9 And if any one should die suddenly by him, immediately the head of his vow shall be defiled; and he shall shave his head in whatever day he shall be purified: on the seventh day he shall be shaved. 10 And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the doors of the tabernacle of witness. 11 And the priest shall offer one for a sin-offering; and the other for a whole-burnt-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him in the things wherein he sinned respecting the dead body, and he shall sanctify his head in that day, 12 in which he was consecrated to the Lord, all the days of his vow; and he shall bring a lamb of a year old for a trespass-offering; and the former days shall not be reckoned, because the head of his vow was polluted. 13 And this is the law of him that has vowed: in whatever day he shall have fulfilled the days of his vow, he shall himself bring his gift to the doors of the tabernacle of witness. 14 And he shall bring his gift to the Lord; one he-lamb of a year old without blemish for a whole-burnt-offering, and one ewe-lamb of a year old without blemish for a sin-offering, and one ram without blemish for a peace-offering; 15 and a basket of unleavened bread of fine flour, even loaves kneaded with oil, and unleavened cakes anointed with oil, and their meat-offering, and their drink-offering. 16 And the priest shall bring them before the Lord, and shall offer his sin-offering, and his whole-burnt-offering. 17 And he shall offer the ram as a sacrifice of peace-offering to the Lord with the basket of unleavened bread; and the priest shall offer its meat-offering and its drink-offering. 18 And he that has vowed shall shave the head of his consecration by the doors of the tabernacle of witness, and shall put the hairs on the fire which is under the sacrifice of peace-offering. 19 And the priest shall take the sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened loaf from the basket, and one unleavened cake, and shall put them on the hands of the votary after he has shaved off his holy hair.
20 And the priest shall present them as an offering before the Lord; it shall be the holy portion for the priest beside the breast of the heave-offering and beside the shoulder of the wave-offering: and afterwards the votary shall drink wine. 21 This is the law of the votary who shall have vowed to the Lord his gift to the Lord, concerning his vow, besides what he may be able to afford according to the value of his vow, which he may have vowed according to the law of separation. 22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, Thus ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying to them,
24 The Lord bless thee and keep thee; 25 the Lord make his face to shine upon thee, and have mercy upon thee; 26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. 27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I the Lord will bless them.
And it came to pass in the day in which Moses finished the setting-up of the tabernacle, that he anointed it, and consecrated it, and all its furniture, and the altar and all its furniture, he even anointed them, and consecrated them. 2 And the princes of Israel brought gifts, twelve princes of their fathers’ houses: these were the heads of tribes, these are they that presided over the numbering. 3 And they brought their gift before the Lord, six covered waggons, and twelve oxen; a waggon from two princes, and a calf from each: and they brought them before the tabernacle. 4 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 5 Take of them, and they shall be for the works of the services of the tabernacle of witness: and thou shalt give them to the Levites, to each one according to his ministration. 6 And Moses took the waggons and the oxen, and gave them to the Levites. 7 And he gave two waggons and four oxen to the sons of Gedson, according to their ministrations.
8 And four waggons and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari according to their ministrations, by Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 9 But to the sons of Caath he gave them not, because they have the ministrations of the sacred things: they shall bear them on their shoulders. 10 And the rulers brought gifts for the dedication of the altar, in the day in which he anointed it, and the rulers brought their gifts before the altar.
11 And the Lord said to Moses, One chief each day, they shall offer their gifts a chief each day for the dedication of the altar. 12 And he that offered his gift on the first day, was Naasson the son of Aminadab, prince of the tribe of Juda. 13 And he brought his gift, one silver charger of a hundred and thirty shekels was its weight, one silver bowl, of seventy shekels according to the holy shekel; both full of fine flour kneaded with oil for a meat-offering. 14 One golden censer of ten shekels full of incense. 15 One calf of the herd, one ram, one he-lamb of a year old for a whole-burnt-offering; 16 and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering. 17 And for a sacrifice of peace-offering, two heifers, five rams, five he goats, five ewe-lambs of a year old: this was the gift of Naasson the son of Aminadab. 18 On the second day Nathanael son of Sogar, the prince of the tribe of Issachar, brought his offering. 19 And he brought his gift, one silver charger, its weight a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels according to the holy shekel; both full of fine flour kneaded with oil for a meat-offering.
20 One censer of ten golden shekels, full of incense. 21 One calf of the herd, one ram, one he-lamb of a year old for a whole-burnt-offering, 22 and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering. 23 And for a sacrifice, a peace-offering, two heifers, five rams, five he-goats, five ewe-lambs of a year old: this was the gift of Nathanael the son of Sogar. 24 On the third day the prince of the sons of Zabulon, Eliab the son of Chaelon. 25 He brought his gift, one silver charger, its weight a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels according to the holy shekel; both full of fine flour kneaded with oil for a meat-offering.

80 One golden censer of ten shekels, full of incense. 81 One calf of the herd, one ram, one he-lamb of a year old for a whole-burnt-offering, 82 and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering. 83 And for a sacrifice of peace-offering, two heifers, five rams, five he-goats, five ewe-lambs of a year old: this was the gift of Achire the son of Ænan. 84 This was the dedication of the altar in the day in which Moses anointed it, by the princes of the sons of Israel; twelve silver chargers, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden censers: 85 each charger of a hundred and thirty shekels, and each bowl of seventy shekels: all the silver of the vessels was two thousand four hundred shekels, the shekels according to the holy shekel. 86 Twelve golden censers full of incense: all the gold of the shekels, a hundred and twenty shekels.
87 All the cattle for whole-burnt-offerings, twelve calves, twelve rams, twelve he-lambs of a year old, and their meat-offerings, and their drink-offerings: and twelve kids of the goats for sin-offering. 88 All the cattle for a sacrifice of peace-offering, twenty-four heifers, sixty rams, sixty he-goats of a year old, sixty ewe-lambs of a year old without blemish: this is the dedication of the altar, after that Moses consecrated Aaron, and after he anointed him.
89 When Moses went into the tabernacle of witness to speak to God, then he heard the voice of the Lord speaking to him from off the mercy-seat, which is upon the ark of the testimony, between the two cherubs; and he spoke to him.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 Speak to Aaron, and thou shalt say to him, Whenever thou shalt set the lamps in order, the seven lamps shall give light opposite the candlestick. 3 And Aaron did so: on one side opposite the candlestick he lighted its lamps, as the Lord appointed Moses. 4 And this is the construction of the candlestick: it is solid, golden—its stem, and its lilies—all solid: according to the pattern which the Lord shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick. 5 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 6 Take the Levites out of the midst of the children of Israel, and thou shalt purify them. 7 And thus shalt thou perform their purification: thou shalt sprinkle them with water of purification, and a razor shall come upon the whole of their body, and they shall wash their garments, and shall be clean. 8 And they shall take one calf of the herd, and its meat-offering, fine flour mingled with oil: and thou shalt take a calf of a year old of the herd for a sin-offering. 9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of witness; and thou shalt assemble all the congregation of the sons of Israel. 10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the Lord; and the sons of Israel shall lay their hands upon the Levites. 11 And Aaron shall separate the Levites for a gift before the Lord from the children of Israel: and they shall be prepared to perform the works of the Lord. 12 And the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the calves; and thou shalt offer one for a sin-offering, and the other for a whole-burnt-offering to the Lord, to make atonement for them. 13 And thou shalt set the Levites before the Lord, and before Aaron, and before his sons; and thou shalt give them as a gift before the Lord. 14 And thou shalt separate the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and they shall be mine. 15 And afterwards the Levites shall go in to perform the works of the tabernacle of witness; and thou shalt purify them, and present them before the Lord.
16 For these are given to me for a present out of the midst of the children of Israel: I have taken them to myself instead of all the first-born of the sons of Israel that open every womb. 17 For every first-born among the children of Israel is mine, whether of man or beast: in the day in which I smote every first-born in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them to myself. 18 And I took the Levites in the place of every first-born among the children of Israel. 19 And I gave the Levites presented as a gift to Aaron and his sons out of the midst of the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of witness, and to make atonement for the children of Israel: thus there shall be none among the sons of Israel to draw nigh to the holy things. 20 And Moses and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites as the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the sons of Israel did to them. 21 So the Levites purified themselves and washed their garments; and Aaron presented them as a gift before the Lord, and Aaron made atonement for them to purify them. 22 And afterwards the Levites went in to minister in their service in the tabernacle of witness before Aaron, and before his sons; as the Lord appointed Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
23 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 This is the ordinance for the Levites; From five and twenty years old and upward, they shall go in to minister in the tabernacle of witness. 25 And from fifty years old the Levites shall cease from the ministry, and shall not work any longer. 26 And his brother shall serve in the tabernacle of witness to keep charges, but he shall not do works: so shalt thou do to the Levites in their charges.
And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sina in the second year after they had gone forth from the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying, 2 Speak, and let the children of Israel keep the passover in its season. 3 On the fourteenth day of the first month at even, thou shalt keep it in its season; thou shalt keep it according to its law, and according to its ordinance.
4 And Moses ordered the children of Israel to sacrifice the passover, 5 on the fourteenth day of the first month in the wilderness of Sina, as the Lord appointed Moses, so the children of Israel did. 6 And there came men who were unclean by reason of a dead body, and they were not able to keep the passover on that day; and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day. 7 And those men said to Moses, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: shall we therefore fail to offer the gift to the Lord in its season in the midst of the children of Israel? 8 And Moses said to them, stand there, and I will hear what charge the Lord will give concerning you. 9 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 10 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Whatever man shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or on a journey far off, among you, or among your posterity; he shall then keep the passover to the Lord, 11 in the second month, on the fourteenth day; in the evening they shall offer it, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs shall they eat it.
12 They shall not leave of it until the morrow, and they shall not break a bone of it; they shall sacrifice it according to the ordinance of the passover. 13 And whatsoever man shall be clean, and is not far off on a journey, and shall fail to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people, because he has not offered the gift to the Lord in its season: that man shall bear his iniquity.
14 And if there should come to you a stranger in your land, and should keep the passover to the Lord, he shall keep it according to the law of the passover and according to its ordinance: there shall be one law for you, both for the stranger, and for the native of the land. 15 And in the day in which the tabernacle was pitched the cloud covered the tabernacle, the place of the testimony; and in the evening there was upon the tabernacle as the appearance of fire till the morning. 16 So it was continually: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 And when the cloud went up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel departed; and in whatever place the cloud rested, there the children of Israel encamped. 18 The children of Israel shall encamp by the command of the Lord, and by the command of the Lord they shall remove: all the days in which the cloud overshadows the tabernacle, the children of Israel shall encamp. 19 And whenever the cloud shall be drawn over the tabernacle for many days, then the children of Israel shall keep the charge of God, and they shall not remove. 20 And it shall be, whenever the cloud overshadows the tabernacle a number of days, they shall encamp by the word of the Lord, and shall remove by the command of the Lord. 21 And it shall come to pass, whenever the cloud shall remain from the evening till the morning, and in the morning the cloud shall go up, then shall they remove by day or by night. 22 When the cloud continues a full month overshadowing the tabernacle, the children of Israel shall encamp, and shall not depart. 23 For they shall depart by the command of the Lord:—they kept the charge of the Lord by the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 Make to thyself two silver trumpets: thou shalt make them of beaten work; and they shall be to thee for the purpose of calling the assembly, and of removing the camps. 3 And thou shalt sound with them, and all the congregation shall be gathered to the door of the tabernacle of witness. 4 And if they shall sound with one, all the rulers even the princes of Israel shall come to thee. 5 And ye shall sound an alarm, and the camps pitched eastward shall begin to move. 6 And ye shall sound a second alarm, and the camps pitched southward shall move; and ye shall sound a third alarm, and the camps pitched westward shall move forward; and ye shall sound a fourth alarm, and they that encamp toward the north shall move forward: they shall sound an alarm at their departure.
7 And whenever ye shall gather the assembly, ye shall sound, but not an alarm. 8 And the priests the sons of Aaron shall sound with the trumpets; and it shall be a perpetual ordinance for you throughout your generations. 9 And if ye shall go forth to war in your land against your enemies that are opposed to you, then shall ye sound with the trumpets; and ye shall be had in remembrance before the Lord, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. 10 And in the days of your gladness, and in your feasts, and in your new moons, ye shall sound with the trumpets at your whole-burnt-offerings, and at the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and there shall be a memorial for you before your God: I am the Lord your God. 11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud went up from the tabernacle of witness. 12 And the children of Israel set forward with their baggage in the wilderness of Sina; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Pharan. 13 And the first rank departed by the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses. 14 And they first set in motion the order of the camp of the children of Juda with their host; and over their host was Naasson, son of Aminadab. 15 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, was Nathanael son of Sogar. 16 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon, was Eliab the son of Chaelon. 17 And they shall take down the tabernacle, and the sons of Gedson shall set forward, and the sons of Merari, who bear the tabernacle. 18 And the order of the camp of Ruben set forward with their host; and over their host was Elisur the son of Sediur. 19 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Symeon, was Salamiel son of Surisadai. 20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad, was Elisaph the son of Raguel. 21 And the sons of Caath shall set forward bearing the holy things, and the others shall set up the tabernacle until they arrive. 22 And the order of the camp of Ephraim shall set forward with their forces; and over their forces was Elisama the son of Semiud. 23 And over the forces of the tribes of the sons of Manasse, was Gamaliel the son of Phadassur. 24 And over the forces of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, was Abidan the son of Gadeoni. 25 And the order of the camp of the sons of Dan shall set forward the last of all the camps, with their forces: and over their forces was Achiezer the son of Amisadai. 26 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Aser, was Phageel the son of Echran. 27 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Nephthali, was Achire the son of Ænan. 28 These are the armies of the children of Israel; and they set forward with their forces. 29 And Moses said to Obab the son of Raguel the Madianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are going forward to the place concerning which the Lord said, This will I give to you: Come with us, and we will do thee good, for the Lord has spoken good concerning Israel. 30 And he said to him, I will not go, but I will go to my land and to my kindred. 31 And he said, Leave us not, because thou hast been with us in the wilderness, and thou shalt be an elder among us. 32 And it shall come to pass if thou wilt go with us, it shall even come to pass that in whatsoever things the Lord shall do us good, we will also do thee good. 33 And they departed from the mount of the Lord a three days’ journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them a three days’ journey to provide rest for them. 34 And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Arise, O Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered: let all that hate thee flee.
35 And in the resting he said,
Turn again, O Lord, the thousands and tens of thousands in Israel.
