  THE DAILY APOSTLE READINGS

The table below gives the Apostle readings for the Divine Liturgy assigned to each day of the year. Most days have a choice of two readings - the reading belonging to the weekly cycle or the reading assigned for the Feast or Saint of the day (Blue). On Great Feasts and on the Feasts of well known Saints, the Apostle for the Feast is given and  in other places the reading from the weekly cycle or both. During Great Lent, with the exception of the Feast of the Annunciation (25th March), no Liturgy is permitted on weekdays other than the Liturgy of the Presanctified. Unless the rubrics specifically mention a Apostle reading, as on the 9th March the feast of the 40 Martyrs, no Apostle is read. During these days "NO LITURGY" is written. In Holy Week only the Apostle for the Liturgy is given.
