Question 99

How do you think we can help each other to be humble and encourage each other in self development and education?

Answer to Question 99

The only way I know of learning humility is by following a life in Christ. When we are baptised the church sings what St. Paul said to the Galations: "As many of you as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ." This is the garment of humility and Christ teaches us that if we want to follow him then we must deny ourselves, (that is to deny our ego and what we want) to take up our cross and follow him. This is no easy task and like I said before humility is a martyrdom because to achieve it we must suffer the same things Christ suffered. Once we have achieved this greatest of virtues then we can truly turn the other cheek when we have been buffeted on the other. Following the Gospels and the Christian life is all the education we need and this knowledge will develop us with social skills.
