Does our faith accept the marriage between a Greek Orthodox and a muslim in a registry office without either changing their religious status ?
Answer to Question 73.
With a civil wedding you can marriage whoever you want and from whatever faith you want because religion doesn't enter into a civil wedding. The Orthodox Church only concerns itself with marriages that take place within the Orthodox Church. For a muslim to be married in the Orthodox Church he/she would have to be instructed in the Orthodox faith and then get baptized. |
