Question 595

Kalimera Father on this beautiful sunny day does our Church believe that God created some people for destruction?

Answer to Question 595

Definitely not. All people are created equal, but the society and environment we are born into can place us at an advantage or disadvantage. A rare few are born in palaces, other in countries of peace and others in war zones. God did not create these danger zones, man did this all by himself, thus we cannot blame God for the destructive decisions created by man, unless we expect God to stop people in these areas of having children

What does this passage mean because I am so confused  “What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction” (Rom. 9:22)? - Romans 9:14–24

St. Paul is saying who are we to tell God what to do? Who are you O stupid man who questions and answers back to God? Can the lump of clay that you are say to him who created him why have you created me in this or that way? God can do what he wants, thus if he wants to show his anger and make his power known and make vessels capable of much longsuffering, which by their own unrepentant wickedness have prepared and destined themselves for destruction what can you say about this? The prepared for destruction does not refer to God doing the preparation but man himself who through his unrepentant self has chosen the road to destruction.
