Morning pater i had a friend who commented suicide a month ago ,i would like to ask can we put a wooden cross on his grave ,because some people say we can’t because the church don't believe in it and the priest doesn't come to the graveyard
Answer to Question 545 Didn't your friend have a church funeral? In older times suicides were not buried by some churches, but today it is accepted that suicides should have a funeral service and mnymosina. Of course you can put a cross on his grave, but why doesn't the priest go to the graveyard?
Same member the priest didn't come here said that the church doesn't accept the way he went ,its a shame because he was bullied as a kid, and he did it to get away from everything, the cross people said it was no good
Reply Did the church give him a funeral service? If so the priest has no right to judge who can and cannot be prayed for. I would go and see the bishop
