Morning pater is it wrong that I don't go church on xmas day is there any thing that I can do at home
Answer to Question 530 We should all try and attend Church on the Great feasts like Christmas and have Holy Communion. This is what defines us as Christians, that we partake and become one with Christ. But maybe the Church in Cyprus shares in the blame for people not attending the Christmas service. In most places the service begins at 5am and 50 years ago that would have been just fine because people didn’t stay up to celebrate Christmas Eve or to watch television etc. In my opinion the service should be moved to the normal Sunday time or even better to have a midnight vigil like we do for Easter night. I think then there would be a lot more people attending especially the young who usually come in from celebrating at 5am
