Hi, Father, 2 questions. Is social media evil? Is obsessive compulsive behaviour and anxiety sins?
Answer to Question 512 Nothing is evil of itself. Social media is what we make of it, it can be used for evil or it can be used for good. This is a big subject and could be discussed in a debate, but like all technology, it comes down to how we humans use the technology in our lives. As for obsessive compulsive behaviour this has to do with psychological problems. It is not a sin to have compulsive behaviour, but when it becomes obsessive then there is a problem and the person suffering the problem should seek professional help. I think this is more a medical or psychological problem and is far more complicated to be simply shrugged of as a sin.
