Question 5.

There was a discussion recently about Catholics not accepted in our church, why is is that in our prayer it mentions In one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of age to come. Amen.

Answer to Question 5.

The Orthodox Church has always been the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. The titles Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic Church came into existence after the Great Schism in 1054. Catholic simply means universal and its use is not a prerogative just of the Roman Catholic Church.
