Question 45.

Is it true that you can not transfer to Orthodox from another faith or belief ?

Answer to Question 45.

It depends on what you mean by transfer. You can't simply say I'm now going to belong to another church. Most religions require you to become a member of their church or faith by some initiation ceremony. If for example you were Roman Catholic and wanted to join the Orthodox Church then you would be accepted through the sacraments of Baptism or Christmation.

Through ancestry we are born into Orthodoxy, but anyone can convert and become Orthodox.
