Same member Ένας δε από τους κρεμασμένους κακοποιούς άρχισε να του λέει υβριστικά: ‘‘Δεν είσαι εσύ ο Χριστός; Σώσε τον εαυτό σου και εμάς’’. Απαντώντας ο άλλος τον επέπληξε και είπε: ‘‘Δεν φοβάσαι καθόλου τον Θεό, τώρα που είσαι στην ίδια κρίση; Και εμείς μεν δίκαια, γιατί λαβαίνουμε στο πλήρες ό,τι μας αξίζει για αυτά που κάναμε· αλλά αυτός δεν έκανε τίποτα το άτοπο’’. Και άρχισε να λέει: ‘‘Ιησού, θυμήσου με όταν έρθεις στη βασιλεία σου’’. Και αυτός του είπε: ‘‘Αληθινά σου λέω σήμερα, θα είσαι μαζί μου στον Παράδεισο’’» (Λουκάς 23, 39-43).
Reply Yes but your first comment said that Christ said on the cross that whoever follows me will go to paradise. It is clear from the verses you have now posted that Christ told the good thief " Truly I tell you that today you will be with me in Paradise. That does not mean the same as saying Christ said that whoever follows me will go to paradise. As for other religions we do not pass judgement of where they will go, judgement is in the hands of God and only he knows where each man will spend eternity
