Question 436

Is it wrong to give communion to a non orthodox if they r dying?

Answer to Question 436

The sacraments of the Church are only for her members and should not be given to anyone else even if they are dying. If they have lived their whole life outside of the Orthodox Church why would they want to partake of her sacraments on dying, wouldn't it be hypocritical?

But then how would they repent their sins etc?

They have a whole lifetime to repent of their sins, we don't wait until we are dying to remember. If they believe in Christ then do they belong to a church? If they do then why don't they ask their own church to give them Holy Communion? If their church doesn't do holy communion then why didn't they join the Orthodox church when they had the time?

No it is for those who have been joined to Christ through the sacrament of baptism
