Do you believe in exorcism
Answer to Question 341
The New Testament is full of accounts of people being possessed and Jesus exorcising the evil spirits from them, so yes I believe that people can be possessed and that the church can exorcise the evil spirits. But I do not believe that someone who is baptised into the Orthodox Church can be physically possessed, the grace and gifts granted to us at baptism should protect us at all times. Of course people can be influenced from evil spirits externally but that is different from being physically possessed.
