Question 274

Hello pater. Here's my question. My friends daughter has become engaged to a lovely German man. He is a Catholic and does not want to change religion but they want to get married in our orthodox church here in Cyprus. Is this possible?

Answer to Question 274

The Church allows marriages between Orthodox and Roman Catholics. He will need to produce a baptism certificate and other papers. Get in touch with the local Metropolis office which deals with marriage licenses and ask them what papers are needed and any other requirements they might have as certain Metropolises have different rules.
